That's good but I ended up at ingles and even got some gas there too! There wasn't even a crowd....I just did my shopping on the wrong day. I even got some bread but it was low in stock. But the good bread was still there.

I do have a child at home today and he has 6 slices of bread to last him. My point being that all the stores in the whole county have no bread. This doesn't happen on winter or spring break when children are home and normally eat lunch at school. I would suspect canned goods would be the first to go since without power from ice that would be the most likely thing to be used. But to buy out all the bread in the whole county....... Also the gas really didn't amaze me with the last time cars being stuck on the road but to wait in line with no sign up

Forget it.....nothing is left not even regular gas. It is gone. No bread. No eggs. No milk. Unreal....I am so upset that there wasn't any gas. Not only that but no sign was out saying no gas. You wait in line then put all your info in and press the button and no gas. And who possibly can use all that bread? They should ration it instead during this type of time. Or are we not going to have bad weather and all of this was so everyone would go shopping? Its going to be 50 on friday...who the heck couldn't last till then?

except for 12 month employees who are talented to drive on ice.

I am suppose to get 8 dollars.

Nope we are pissed off that they specifically stated in their calendars that winter break would be the make up days and now they have changed it again. So since they have stated that on their own calendar... many have opted to do something on spring break because of how it was told.
-
It is stated on the calendar winter break was to be used for snow days. Now they are concern for the ones that made plans for winter break???? What about the ones that made plans for spring break? That is just a rotten idea. Spring break came first!!!! You know some of us did have that break off (spring) with our kids while winter break was not likely. It just keeps getting worse as this week goes on.

can you recover with your backup? Just like from yesterday?

would this be just your house or the whole subdivision?

It is not the government taking care of us or us relying on them, but the simple fact that the first sign of the snow falling should prompt them to salt the streets at least the main ones. Wasted money or not, it may or may not help but do it because it is the way it should be done to avert a catastrophe. Knowing people are at work and school should be the number one reason to do it. Every other state does it. Why close a city down because of a little snow? If salt were used it wouldn't shut it down. It cost more in repairs and damages then salt would. All that manpower to get people ou

Just in. Enjoy.

Just Denise......where did you get that info from???? I am 12 month and my boss said we are closed. I wouldn't even chance it with my hill still iced up.

Yes they were great and were a major part of getting the students and bus drivers home or back to the schools. That was their main priority.
-
The schools did react as soon as they seen what it was doing outside. They could do it no faster then when the buses were to get there. I know my school changed to lunch periods while waiting on the buses. Then they let the ones that drive go so that they could possibly get safely home. The others had to wait for the buses to get there and as soon as most of them were they released them to the buses and if their bus wasn't there they were to wait at the gym till they were. They managed to get most of them out of there and just a few car riders were there when I left. To me watching the sn

YOU ARE THE BEST!!!! I am so impressed with how you all dealt with a hard situation. You did go beyond what your job descriptions call for. You tried to maneuver those big yellow buses with everyone's children on there including one that had a fight on there. So here is a shout out to you and all you did on this day. You all did a great job and tried hard. To have busloads of kids and be stranded in a ditch is a bit much for anyone to handle. But I can tell you that you will never forget this day nor will we forget all you went through to get the kids home.
