I thought if you were a good enough athelete, grades weren't as important. I love JSU though

Nope, you have to have at least decent grades. You cant have a 2.0 and a 500 on the SAT or a 10 on the SAT. You have to be at least borderline for them to bring you on. Grades have become very important recently in the recruiting process, which is a good thing in my opinion.
