I wonder if this is real or another rumor. There is nothing out there about it.
I promise you its not a rumor, I know for a fact that it did happen. If you want more information you can call the Powder Springs police and ask for Lt. Boyd. But believe what you want.

Do they have the "Scared Straight program" here? believe me, if my boys were out acting like thugs, after I blistered their butts (because they will never be too old for that) I would sign them up for that in a heart beat!
That's the problem, all parents arent like you and I, they don't give a rats behind what their kids are out there doing. As long as they don't have to be bothered with them, they don't care. Many of these parents are out doing their own thing, partying it up and drugging it up, they don't have time to parent their kids, these kids do not have the proper upbringing, and the rest of society has to suffer.

In the 80's when I was in VA in the military they had to stop having games on Friday nights and move them to Saturdays due to the fights after the games so really, thankfully, it's missed us for 20 years before we are facing it now. It worked when they moved their games to Saturdays so maybe that's in the cards for us.
Its not happening at games, not yet, but at these dang house parties. Its crazy because Hiram and McEchern don't even play each other anymore in sports. The incident last weekend was sparked over a girl from McEchern that was dating one of the boys that they attacked. I have banned my son from all house parties, he is upset but I have told him his life is more important than a house party. There is more to life than partying.

Please let me know how I am a goofus, I really would love to know. I posted information regarding Hiram High Students, and informing people about this so called gang and that Hiram students need to be aware that people in this gang are targeting them. This was the second shooting in two months. So if that makes me a goofus, then by all means have at it. I am not going to say what I think you are.

Sadly enough the thing that suprised me the most is that there is a gang called the Ham Squad Gang....
Have no idea where the name came from, but according to the Powder Springs police this gang is wrecking havoc in powder springs and surrounding areas. They may be a "wanna be" at the moment, but at the rate they are attacking and shooting people, they will soon be full blown gang status. If you are the one being attacked by them, don't think it matters that they are a "wanna be".

They are pretty scary, regardless of their name people have been shot and attacked and I don't think its a laughing matter.

during a house party in Powder Springs last weekend. The former students are 2009 graduates and were at a house party in Powder Springs and were approached by members of the so called "Ham Squad gang", they were attacked and shot at but luckily neither one was hit by a bullet. They were pretty shaken up but both are okay, Thank God. It is believed that these are the same thugs that shot a Hiram graduate on graduation night. And once again nobody is giving up names, no one seems to know who these individuals are. This violence is going to continue unless someone is brave enough to start naming names. I would advise any Hiram High students to stay away from any Powder Springs partys or partys being thrown by McEachern students. There seems to be a big beef between Hiram and McEachern students, I had never heard of this until this summer when the first shooting occurred. We had rilvarys when I was in high school but it was all talk, now it includes violence and it has got to stop.

I have been hearing sirens for about 10 minutes coming down Ridge Road. Some went by and then about five minutes later another group went by with sirens roaring. Anybody know whats going on. I was watching International House Hunters and had to get up and see if anybody on pcom knew what was going on.

Are there any businesses or churches out there that would let someone have a yard sale in their parking lot for a small fee ? I want to have a yard sale but not at my house, my house is not on a main road and I probably wouldnt get alot of business because of the location. Thanks for any suggestions.

I havent heard anything else since the two were brought in for questioning. Dont know what ever happened with that. Do know the victim is still recovering, they removed tube from lung today. It's going to be a slow process, but he is expected to make a full recovery, thank God and praise God.

and i thought the poor kid who stumbled into the roses and got literally STUCK in them at lgms 16th birthday was bad!!!! (his parents were the very overprotective type and it scared the crap out of me when i had to bandage him up not to mention dig him out!!) I cant imagine ANYONE having the funds to throw a grad. party for their kid that size but i suppose they do have them....just wonder why there werent more adults to supervise??? I would have recruited every friend i had to help chaperone and any parent i could if i expected that many kids. Then again i am assuming myself that half the crowd wasnt adults. Hope they find the person though and he is brought to justice. Sorry for the family to have to go thru that on such a special day.
There were adults there supervising and I dont think she invited that many, people just start showing up. The police was called out earlier and apparently thought everything was under control. This party was not out of control until those idiots showed up, who were not invited. And don't assume people don't have the funds to throw a graduation party that size. I was planning a party for my son that size and believe me I definitely have the funds, and the space, but for other reasons beyond my control we were not able to have it and I thank God, because this could have easily happened at my house.

From what I've been told, two arrest had been made. People are making a lot of assumptions on here. Im still trying to figure out why the police is saying the witnesses were uncooperative. Names were given the night of the party. There must be some confusion with another party, maybe the party where this same group went and beat up some other people. But the witnesses at the party where the young man was shot have been cooperative from day one.
Correction: Two believed to have been involved with the shooting were brought in for questioning, don't know if any arrest were made yet.

I was diagnosed with a pinched nerve in my neck after experiencing pain in my neck, shoulder, and arm. I was prescribed a muscle relaxer and something for inflammation, neither did anything to relieve the pain, just knocked me out where I couldnt feel it. This week I started experiencing tingling and numbness in my arm and hand. Has anyone ever experienced a pinched nerve and is the tingling and numbness symptoms of a pinched nerve? I keep thinking maybe I've had a stroke, but I don't have any of the other symptoms of a stroke.

Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Shooting
(Paulding County, GA) The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating
a shooting incident that occurred Saturday, June 6 at 29 Hillcrest Court Hiram, GA 30141
involving an 18 year old victim. The victim was identified as Gregory Frasier of Powder
Springs, Georgia.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene in reference to a fight and shooting. The scene
was described by deputies as extremely chaotic. There were over 150 people on the
scene when deputies began arriving. The victim was taken by helicopter to an Atlanta
area hospital.
The people on the scene were uncooperative with law enforcement. The suspect’s
description and vehicle description are not available to be released at this time. The
Paulding County Sheriff’s Office believes someone at the party has more information
about the incident that may help confirm other information that is already under
investigation. They are urged to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477)
to file an ANONYMOUS tip. A tip leading to an arrest and indictment is eligible for a
reward up to $2,000.00 through Crime Stoppers Atlanta.
I am really baffled by this since I was told as well as all the other parents I talked to was told who these people were. This information has been given to the police.

The police took statements from everyone there(my son included) and they know the name of the former McEachern student who graduated from Hiram on Saturday. The fact that he brought these thugs to a party where his fellow graduates would be still pi$$e$ me off. But, they should be able to find the others through him. As of last night, they still hadnt found them. Must be hiding.

I didn't say or mean it was a problem. If it were as I stated the s/o would of done something about it. I was not blaming the mom at all. When I was in h.s. and graduated our parties were that big also and not any trouble. It also could of been an over estimation.
Could you answer my last paragraph? Was there 2 others shot also? There was also another party that was crashed after that one with a group of teens beat up. Possibly by the same individual(s). It was stated by s/o's on the scene.
Sorry, I was referring to a statement that someone posted earlier. "If you have a "celebration" with 100-150 people there will be trouble. Seems like the host would know this" The party that my son attended there was only one person shot, there may have been another party where something also happened.

No this did not make the news, everything that happens in Hiram and Powder Springs does not make the news. Probably because no one was actually shot, thank God. So im glad it didnt make the news, if it meant someone had to actually be shot. But if you still need convincing that this happened, just pm me.
