  5. Come to New Georgia Public Library and buy your mom a Library Cookbook for just $12.00. The recipes were contributed by employees and library patrons. This is a hardback, spiral bound book. The library is located at the intersection of Hwy 61 and Ridge Rd.
  6. BYOB "Bring your own basket"! Two different libraries will be having Egg Hunts on Thursday at 10:30. New Georgia Library is located on Ridge Road 770-459-8163 and Maude Ragsdale on Hwy 92. 770-439-3964. This is for pre-school age children.
  7. All libraries will be closed Good Friday and Saturday for the Easter weekend.
  8. None of the libraries have the Georgia State Income Tax forms. You have to go to www.etax.dor.ga.gov or email taxforms@dor.ga.gov or call 1-877-423-6711. We have had a tremendous demand for this but the State of Georgia decided not to continue annual bulk mailing to libraries. Thanks
  9. On March 12th at 2pm New Georgia Public Library will welcome a representative from the Georgia Chapter of the Trail of Tears Association. Come learn all about the Trail of Tears when the Cherokees were forced out of Georgia. This would be great for homeschool kids and also adult interested in history.   11. Today (3/10/14) at 4pm New Georgia Public Library will host the "Lego Club" for kids of all ages. We have the huge blocks for the younger children and regular legos for older kids. She will teach the beginning basics of African American Genealogy research including how to get started, how to organize your information, what kinds of records are available and how to find them.   25. Apparently the general public is not aware that the libraries are part of local government. We reopened the libraries today and people were saying that they had tried calling the libraries over last few days and did not know we were closed. Please note we are part the Paulding Government Offices. When it says on WSB or other TV news that Paulding County Government is closed that includes the libraries. Thank you.
