My mom said she has not seen him for several days and was wondering if he was OK. She went to school with him and checks in on him from time to time, so she was a little concerned. Does anyone know? I tried to send weather boy a pm, but I guess his box is full. TIA.

It's snowing here too (New Hope), but I just checked the WSB radar, and it isn't showing any precipitation at all!

I started with Atkins, but the Primal/Paleo lifestyle is where I have had the best results! Not just weight loss, but other health improvements as well. It lines up with what Surepip mentioned about eating as we were designed to eat--as an LA times article puts it: "As nutrition scientists try to find the ideal for the future, others look to history and evolution for answers. One way to put our diet in perspective is to imagine the face of a clock with 24 hours on it. Each hour represents 100,000 years that humans have been on the Earth. On this clock, the advent of agriculture and re

Not one bit. After the "tomato scare...no wait, it's the peppers... no, it is the tomatoes...wait, we think it is the green onions...no, definitely the tomatoes...well, maybe it's the cilantro scare of 2008", I ignore just about everything from the FDA. That was the final straw. And since all the recent studies that I have seen say there is no association between egg consumption and risk of CHD or stroke, we eat more eggs than ever. And if I could find a local supplier, I would eat even more!

A relative in real estate was surprised, and impressed, when I told him our property was reassessed this year. I got the impression that they thought most counties would not being doing re-assessments this year, in order to keep revenues high. So if that is the case, seems like our county did the right thing. But our taxes went down over $400...I might not be so complementary if it had went the other way.

I kinda prefer Jon Stewart's impression of Glenn Beck...

My sister and I were singing this recently: Gloom, despair, and agony on me Deep, dark depression, excessive misery If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all Gloom, despair, and agony on me

"I do GREAT work, and I stand by it like no other repairman EVER would..." And he's not blowing smoke...he really does stand by his work.

Thanks NavyEagle #1. I will be sure to let them know where the referral came from!

I have one estimate but want to get a couple more. Is Alls roofing a local company? Happen to have a number handy?

I'm so sorry.

Sharing your story is a beautiful way of remembering him. (You are a really good story-teller!)

Thanks. We only met Joe once. He helped us with some glass inserts, and he is such a likable guy. Our sincere sympathies for him and his family. Miss seeing him around here...

Rest in Peace Mr. Fannin. (Is this GlassMan's father?)

Hi Tim, I am so sorry. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. -
Obviously very heart-felt. I am so sorry for all that knew her. She is a distant cousin, but I never had the pleasure of meeting her.

What a lovely good-bye. I didn't know her, but after reading this, I sure wish I had! I am sorry for your loss. Sounds like you had a wonderful friend.

Kudos for finding the stray a home! You are probably right about her being bored. I know some neighbors are impossible to get a long with, but who knows...maybe, you will have a chance to be the better person and turn the situation around where everyone is happier. And no Gaileespaz, I'm not her neighbor. I would never ever throw a rock at a dog...and rarely sweep the driveway!
