So what exactly was the hard part?
-
The fancy new Paulding County courthouse -- where else?
-
He looks like a 3 year old!
-
I'd suggest cage rest and keeping him off of it and of course an x-ray...

Peroxide is not good and I imagine was very painful....Ouch!

Google: crate training. You'll find more information that you'll ever be able to read.

Don't forget to get them scanned for a microchip. We'll be at Petsmart for about another hour and we'll be glad to scan them if you can make it before we leave today.

I think that Fox 5 can take of that for everyone!

Clindamycin is the best antibiotic for a skin infection and I have a whole new bottle, liquid, you can have. You can bring him, we can give him some pain meds, flush it and I'll give you the meds, just PM me if you want help.

LisaG -- ewe!
GeorgiaMommy, I think we have some feline pain meds if you'd like some... You also need to get some betadine and water solution in a big syringe and flush out that hole. I can probably do it for you later this afternoon if you'd like to bring him/her over.

I don't think it's completely about the money, I think it's a sickness and hoarding animals is a real issue. In my opinion, if someone has ever had their animals forceably removed because they could not properly care for them, their brain should tell them they don't need more. But this is a normal occurance with people that should not own pets. Even when a judge had made it contingent of one's probation to now own an animal for a set amount of time, I've seen the offender go right back out and get more pets the very next day!

It's terrific if this is the same dog, I hope they are reunited soon. Maybe the woman took our advice and the Yorkie is already at the shelter.

They knock on the door and ask to come in. They know a breeder when they see one. They have to be caught advertising/selling an animal and a hobby breeder permit allows them to breed one time per year and must be applied and paid for at PCAC.

It's called a wolf worm and it's pretty nasty looking... I would guess if it's a true bullet hole, it would be dead.

All animal establishments, from breeders to pet stores to rescues, are licensed by the GA Department of Agriculture/Animal Protection Division. They must also follow county rules and be licensed by Paulding County Animal Control and have a county Animal Establishment Permit, however they have no jurisdiction over the city, which this establishment is in.

We also have a 5 month old, short haired, black and white, Chihuahua, male that is super sweet and loves kids, he's just not ready to go home yet, if you're interested.

Was she adopted from us? Looks familiar....

not true at all. i know the family near the post office, and they ARE NOT related, or affiliated in ANY way to the woman at the "puppy mansion".
That would be accurate to my knowledge too.

Thanks Kelly! I truly wish we could take in every animal that needed us to, but the trust is we don't have the space, the resources, the food, or the ability to find them ALL new homes. So instead be do the very best we can to take in animals I know in my heart we can truly care for temporarily until a new home can be found. Due to legality issues, we don't take in strays and we typically don't help people surrendering their own pets, because most (I'd say 95%) of our animals are rescued from local animal shelters, some with VERY high kill rates because they have no way to care for them let alone find homes for them. We also have to pay our vet bill or we couldn't keep taking in more animals. ALL of our animals are spayed and neutered before adoption. Some of these animals that we find are harder to place and for various reasons, we end up adopting out for $25 or $50 or we might heartworm treat 3 dogs in 1 week and spend hundreds more than we'll ever recoop.
I've said my piece now and I'm done with this thread. Unfortunately just as the other thread on here has my emotions all stirred up, some people will just never get it...

They are NOT in any way affiliated with one another!

I think the law was written in the easiest possible way to understand without many loopholes. I think if you had a neighbor who called you in and Animal Control came out you'd be fine, they'd see you outside with the dog. The law was more so created for the dogs that literally live outside on a runner or tie out that have been attacked, mauled, killed etc. by a coyote, rabid animal, aggressive pit bull, etc...

Let's face it some folks are just rude! Just for the record everyone I don't know QOTSA, nor do I care to. However we have 12 cat spaces and every single one of them are full right now. Adult cats are the hardest things to place right now, which anyone can see when they enter the cat room at the local animal shelter or view Petfinder. We take in animals that we know we can place and we would not be doing Tasha or her cats a favor by taking in her cats to live here for months on end or even over a year such as Smokey on our website. We try and rehome our animals quickly to make it as stressless as possible for them.

Is this the same place that was once located at East Paulding Drive and Dallas Highway, next to the Regal Beagle?
Yep!
-
The reason the law was passed is to protect the animal that is tethered from being harmed by stray animals, wild animals, evil neighbors, anything could happen and just like electric fences your animal is stuck, unable to escape being mauled, bitten, attacked by any of the above...
It's raining and I am in a GREAT MOOD!
