I'm really not ok, but I'm coping. God does things for a reason. I'm just trying to figure out what the reason is.

 

 

A comfort I have always had is that sometimes his reason has nothing to do with you - and you may never know. If you didn't get what you wanted - maybe someone else had to have it to give them hope or the will to go on; or maybe someone mistreated you - it may be a lesson for you that you may not have to use until years from now - or your reaction to that person was a lesson to them - you get my drift.

 

Sometimes I just pray for God to bless the person who this situation was meant for and that they use it to as he intended.

I'm with you!! What makes them so special. It burns me up every time I see that! Where are the police? Can't they just sit there one evening and hand out tickets? The word would soon get out.

 

I know it's a little thing but dangit! I hate people who think they are entitled; rules just aren't for them!!!!!!

lol. yes. Our lab always looks dead when she sleeps. If the pug didn't snore so dang loud, I might think she was dead too... lol

 

Yep, I have one that snores; and another that makes pathetic little crying noises. Sometimes I wake her up just to comfort her; I figure she is having a bad dream!! The other two change position so often, I know they're alive.

We had honey, mustard pork tenderloin cooked in the crock pot; broc, rice, cheese casserole; bakery-made rolls; for dessert - strawberry shortcake _berries picked by my granddaughters).

 

We were supposed to have baked butternut squash but I cut my finger so badly trying to prepare it, we decided to just go with what we already had.

 

It was great!

Must be a tough day as we all chatter about dinners an gifts - my prayers for you on this lonely day of tension. May next year be full of frivolity and meaningless patter.

Won't single mom daughter be surprised when she gets here! LOL. Here honey - finish our dinner. Oh well - don't think it needs stitches; but definitely cramps my cooking style! Fortunately most was done - thanks to crock pot.

It's now been 11 years since my mom has passed, but I relish the moment to be inspired to remember something about her. When I read this quote, it reminded me of the many mornings she and I had together. I would bring her black coffee and we would sit in her bed together while looking through the newspaper. NOW, I realize that THIS was when I connected with her the most.

 

I love you and miss you mom. Happy Mothers Day!

Yeah, I'm "the lady". - It is called a down rod and it is about 24" long. Neither Kel or I thought about that part. The down rod can be removed; I only know this because I had to buy a down rod for the next ceiling fan I am having installed so I know it is an extra part that has to be purchased separately from the ceiling fan. Sorry, Kel - and if no one buys it, you bring it back; we'll get that baby sold at a garage sale that I hope to have! If anyone is out the money - it will be ME and not you!

As my tiniest dog walked around the corner to see her; she remarked that he sure looks "healthy". LOL - KEL, that was the smallest one.

 

I once read that if your dog is fat; YOU aren't getting enough exercise - yeah, Guilty, as charged.

I also like to use local businesses when I order. You can usually find reviews on line; OR, I call and after chatting with them you get a feel for what type of business it is. I have lived in a different state from my family for years; plus I have a DD who often has shows in other states. So I use florists and bakeries often.

[Prayers needed for Shannon]

Unfortuanately, Shannon's cancer has come back.........

 

She has decided to try chemo again (a different type) so she can breathe and alleviate some of the pain. Naturally, they have no idea if it will work, and she will try it as long as she can handle it.

 

She and I are going to Vegas on Monday on business, so I am looking forward to seeing her again. She is ready to "retire" from work.......it's become too much and she doesn't want to die behind her desk (she is in the skating business, too and it has been her life for 25 years!)

 

I am praying she is well enough to go on the cruise in August with our sister and brother.

 

Please, please, please remember Shannon in your prayers. Pray that she responds and feel better. Pray that she is ok during this trip to Vegas.

 

Miracles can still happen, although I am starting to not believe in it anymore.
