  1. Happy Birthday!!!!!! (a few minutes late, sorry!) You're an awesome emcee, especially for someone so young at only 28 years old!
  2. Reesy, congrats, you're the winner, that is your 2nd free ticket, bring a loved one!
  3. Our question for today is about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade...incidentally, I once saw this parade in person, from the vantage point of 77th street and Central Park West. The balloon are HUGE and it is all quite a sight! However, I'd really recommend watching on tv, we had to get out there at 5am to get a good spot for the parade and it was sooooooooooo cold. Well, enough anecdotes, you are here to play, right? So let's play: Which of the following was the first balloon ever in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade: A) Snoopy B ) Mickey Mouse C) Garfield D) Felix the Cat
  4. Well, isn't it fitting that Snoopy64 should win on this question? haha. You're correct and you've won your 2nd ticket, so bring a friend or someone to the Festival of Trees!
  5. Today's trivia is about my favorite show to watch on Thanksgiving...."A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving". In "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" name the character who, every year, holds a football for Charlie Brown to kick?
  6. Craftymom, yes, the answer is C and as you answered correctly and first~you've won a free ticket!
  7. Today's trivia for a free ticket is Christmas tree related, so here we go (multiple choice again today): The tradition of placing and lighting a large tree at Rockefeller Center began in what year: A) 1937 B ) 1890 C) 1933 D) 1943
  8. Great idea, sounds like a fun way to make homemade gifts!
  9. Mrs. C--you are correct & have won! I thought I posted this last night, but apparently it didn't post for some reason, sorry about that!
  10. Just a heads up, the Christmas Open House for downtown Dallas merchants is this weekend, I stopped in a couple of shops today and they look beautiful, you should come check it out. They are just covered top to bottom in Christmas decor. I love to see the stores all jam-packed with Christmas stuff and all the whimsical, cute items they have. The window displays are so festive---I am just ready for the season!
  11. Alright, just under the wire tonight, I almost forgot to post a trivia question, but I made it.... Which tribe of Native Americans participated in the first Thanksgiving with the Pilgrims? A) The Iroquois B ) The Cherokee C) The Wampanoag D) The Sioux
  12. Thanks for playing along LPPT,and congrats to Reesy! Back later today with a new question. Have a great day!
  13. We just have to wait for LPPT to poke her head in here and declare a winner. My guess (since it doesn't count anyway) would also be #4!
  14. TMKONA29M--so glad you'll be able to come & I'm sure your son will love it too! For today's question.....this one is a bit more personal, let's see who gets this right first, and we'll have to wait for LPPT to let us know who answered correctly first! Given the following options, how would LPPT prefer that her turkey be prepared this Thanksgiving? 1)stuffed with duck and chicken, one of those turducken things 2)deep fried 3)baked all day in the oven 4)by someone else
  15. I agree, delicious lunch--the jalapeno cornbread is awesome. Staff is nice, place is so cute, love Audrey's.

  21. I've never heard of them until now, going to check the Business News forum. What an adorable name: Bumblebee Bakery. Love it!
  22. Madea~that is so cool, I love the festival downtown! Please come say hello and introduce yourself when you come to our festival, it's always fun to meet pcommers in person. On to today's question, this is another Thanksgiving question and multiple choice again: What year was the first Thanksgiving celebrated? A)1621 B)1716 C)1626 D)1876
  23. Madea, it's like a much smaller version of the Festival of Trees in Atlanta, we thought it would be fun to have our own Festival of Trees close to home and it occurred to us that tours of the venue while it's decorated for Christmas would be nice. The trees will be in the lobby, onstage, backstage and in the civic center too, so it's like a Festival of Trees tour and historic theatre tour rolled into one. In the civic center, there will be hot cocoa/cookies and Santa Claus too, we're making it a family event. Some of the trees will be for sale, that is left up to the organization or business
  24. LOL, you're welcome, it's always fun to win something!
  25. Mrs. C~dang, you're quick!!! You are correct and you've won a free ticket to the Festival of Trees, thanks for playing! Did you watch "How I Met Your Mother" tonight? It was funny! As usual.
