My child was physically harmed, what would you do?
toxic replied to tonitwo's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Lady, I have known Jayson Phillips for a while. He is one of the most honest and honorable people I have EVER met. Just because either your court case didn't go the way you wanted or you can't get any traction on your allegations above, doesn't give you the right to say these sort of things. These officials endure (and continue to endure) public bashing from all of the "haters" while showing incredible restraint. I admire them for that... I quit turning the other cheek a long time ago! -
That was an interesting article, especially that part where Todd reminds us all of how "Open, Honest & Transparent" he is... That author, Tom S., has witten some good ones. My favirite was the one he did on Jan 18th "Opponets Seek Public Hearing on Paulding Airport Plans". That's the one with the Patti Smith public service announcement of "Don't Drink the Jet Fuel"; priceless. Anyway, while the article itself was interesting, I was more interested in one of the comments posted to the bottom of the article. Don't know who this guy is but would like to know more about his comments

Like I figured, you are full of crap. How exactly does an article that was published last year about a "study' have any direct bearing on what "you supposedly heard" at your barber yesterday shop???
-
Yeah, I agree Feelip, public office in this county would not be very enjoyable. If you do something a special intrest group doesn't like, you are a thief, crook, on-the-take, corrupt, double-dealing, etc... I am visualizing a field of local candidates with vitrually no experience with anything but being professional axe grinders... the name Tony Crowe comes to mind... If people support a candidate because of a "cause", you get what you deserve.

Whitely, you are so full of crap... Why did you start this thread? Had all of the other "negative" threads dried up? I am going to guess you never even called the IBA or the Chamber to verify whether or not 1) a conference center meeting even took place or 2) if it did who attended. Just call that well-informed Commissioner of yours and ask him. I am betting the true story isn't as good as the crap you are attemting to sling. But slinging mud without regard for the facts is probably the only way your legion of doom and gloom can keep the Delta money flowing isnt it... face it,

Would you be happier if they put them in the same envelope??? I don't understand the need for multiple checks but hardly understand what that has to do with wether or not expanding the airport is a good idea. If the Commissioners had held a public meeting about this would you all embrace it??? Doubt it, so get past that. They screwed up the PR - got it. Water under the bridge. Is it a good idea to expand it or not?

I love her fingernail polish.

This group no longer wants answers. They already have them. They just don't like the answers or the facts. They held a meeting to vent and bitch. Nobody is on the take, no collusion, no secret deals, no pockets being lined (except the Paulding 6 and some of their groupies maybe). What proof do I have??? The same amount of proof this group has in reverse... They (and Delta) don't like the project, period. So somebody has to be blamed for their lot in life. Simple as that. If you can't expand this airport as sparsely populated as it is within three miles in any direction, then you c

Everyone that attended this meeting and hoped to learn something should remember one important thing. You heard one side of the story. And only what the folks with either an axe to grind or had a political agenda wanted you to hear...

Todd or Anthony were speaking. That is what y'all gave up an evening of MASH reruns to go and listen too... Talk about the B-Team.

Did Delta bring ya'll some new T-shirts??

Paulding Economic Development New on Channel 2 News
toxic replied to Jamie Gilbert's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Glad to see positive comments from the press regarding Paulding. Looks like the Economic Development foks and IBA folks are capable of great things when they are allowed to see things all the way through. -
Chairman Austin, since you seem to get more than your fair share of the blame when things go wrong in this county or when you have to lead in the face of opposition it's only fair you get credit when things go well. This road (and the recently opened Seven Hills Extension) is fantastic. It is projects like these that are EXACTLY why folks vote for SPLOST! Well done sir!

I'm crushed at the hostile treatment... O.K., I'm good now. Polls for citizens to express their opinion to polititians. I think they call those elections. If politicians are only going to act based on what the vocal minority are goin to whin about then why have them at all - politicians I mean. Novel idea actually. I find it incredibly funny what some folks will put so much energy into fighting so hard for when all around them Rome is burning. We dont want "airplanes" taking off from an "airport"... That's all you got??? Well how about banning clowns from the Circus, the

I saw the agenda Whitey. Isn't your post just some shameless self promotion... Do you really think anyone with half a brian gives a rats azz what your opinion is about most issues. Are your groupies coming for another "spontaneous" round of clapping after you and Tony Crowe's sheetrock supply lady finish your rantings and dronnings about airplanes taking off from an airport bla, bla, bla. Commissioners bad, bla, bla bla, Todd and Delta good bla, bla bla. Then the hightlight... wait for it... there it is, spontaoneous appaulse by the Delta Six groupies!!! Do ya'll get together and wat

Excellent idea! Thanks for allowing the citizens to help. Hope all the county and city responders as well as the volunteers stay safe through this event!

I thought Surepip sued the county, not the otherway around...

Thanks for the environmental law lesson - your true motivation shines brightly. You really don't give a crap about the environment, the contents of the revised EA or any other approvals the county obtained. Got it. Whatever you and your Delta-Six cronies (sorry, I was assumming you are not one of the Delta-Six, when maybe you are) can do to blow our tax dollars for your on personal agendas, I get it now. Since you seem to know so much about NEPA maybe you are one of the washington D.C. lawyers the Delta-Six "independently" contacted when they noticed the wrinkle in the NEPA policy regar

pcfanatic, you can choose to look at the environmental lawsuit however you want. If the threat for environmental damage was so obvious and potentially serious, why did the Delta-Six settle??? Perhaps they knew (and more specifically, their corporate backed lawyers knew) that while they may get a short-lived delay while the the County spends a few months to update its existing EA; in a courtroom, there was NO BASIS for the lawsuit and any reasonable judge would NOT have ruled in their favor. Simply put, the Delta-Six took what they could get on the playround and stayed out of the courtroom..

This thread is so full of misinformation... I think Noahsdad got it off track with his rant about "land". After a three minute phone conversation to get FACTS, the Fire Station is to be built on the airport property controlled by the FAA, thus the halt of construction. How could the FAA halt construction on "private land", duh... They can't. Tundra says this has nothing to do with the lawsuits (nothing to see here folks, just move along)... Really, seems to me it has everything to do with the law suits. No law suits = fire station/E-911 under construction; whereas, lawsuits = no more f

Whitely, you must be the biggest horses AZZ in the county... No matter what facts you are provided, you can find a way to ignore them. Why don't you sign on with the Delta Six? Maybe 7 is your lucky number. You are obviously the most informed person in the county - and certianly the one the local officals ought to check in with before thay make any sort of decision. Do me a favor... Stop breathing my air!
-
If you are keeping score, the "Delta Six" are 0-1-2... No wins, 1 tie, and 2 losses.
-
I find it disturbing that some of you think of a court hearing on a Saturday morning as some sort of "entertainment"...
-
I read in a different airport thread that Surpip was convinced that Judge Beavers would rule according to the law, so whenever the ruling finally comes out, I feel like it will be fair and just.
-
Whitey, I read above you are now opposed to a local park?? You rant about not liking the airport stuff because the people didn't get to have a say in it. Unless I am mistaking, we all got to vote on SPLOST which at least in part was supposed to be used to build parks. These Commissioners can't win with you and your crowd. How dare they construct a park that the citizens voted for on land the county already owned that quite frankly looked like crap in front of the new public courthouse anyway. I saw the plan of the park they put up on a board near the entrance, I love it! It's about ti
