  1. Yes! Yah Emory!!! I'm so glad these two AMERICANS were brought HOME and are safe and sound!!
  2. I understand that the decision as to if the officer should be tried or not will happen today.
  3. Yeah right, just like you can't help stalking and pulling out any sentence from my posts which you can construe as an insult. Whoever you think you are, you cannot and will not censor me. Skip my posts if they bother you so much and quit harassing me. As for insults, that's just about all you do around here so stuff it.
  4. When the story was on the news the reporter said the business was based in Hiram. But you're right, they don't mention it in the printed story. IDK.
  5. Good to hear you are doing well. And if you're bitch'in you are on the road to recovery.
  6. I just don't like to see local business swallowed up by the big boys.
  7. Wth are you talking about. The owners of Cohutta are personal friends of ours. I was just looking to promote a rather local business. Of course I shop at all the big box stores. What is your point?
  8. They are a couple of cuts above Cabelas. And they are savy business people. I hope they thrive, and I bet they will. Fishing in certain areas is like a cult following, really, they exchange info. like crazy. The few times I've not managed to be deaf to their conversations, I've never heard Cabelas as well as Bass Pro mentioned, except with contempt . Only local fly shops for the most part. People who really enjoy fishing seem to promote local, not national business. But I'm more than sure Cabelas will survive.
  9. Yup. It's new. Enjoy talking to the 15 year old about your boat/fishing questions.
  10. My husband is a big fisher dude. He prefers Cohutta Fishing Company in Cartersville. When you get past baiting with corn you really need some expertise. They have the experience and it's a fine family business.
  11. Just saw these local news items. A helicopter crashed in Tallapoosa, killing the pilot and a power company employee. It was a business based in Hiram. I'm thinking it's the one off 278. Pretty sad. La Cocina (sp) is toast with its scores. The place was pretty empty when they filmed there.
  12. As far as I've read, he was not in a bar, he was in the open street. The bullet went through his hand and traveled across the street, hitting this 68 year old tourist. Nice huh? Going to Helen to buy some fudge and getting shot dead on the street? Crazy.
  13. Oh no doubt it was an accident, brought on by a person that had been drinking and carrying a gun. His actions caused this "accident."
  14. Nah, he wasn't drunk he was just stupid for shooting himself in the hand.
  15. Who cares what anyone thinks or feels the need to post about guns. Fact is an innocent lady has been murdered by a drunk with a gun. That is the fact. Not that facts should enter into this conversation.
  16. Never been Hun......don't know why, just hasn't happened. Let me know what you think.
  17. Pubby, I'm sorry, but the Internet is a cesspool for the most part anyway. What it could be? It's an evolution I guess.
  18. Thank you Doll.......we really enjoyed it.
  19. To the contrary.....you REALLY need to get out more. This is not a cafeteria, like you are evidently used to. This is not a shove and chew type place. This is a savor the decadence of well prepared food kind of place.
  20. Depending on your taste. If you ever get a chance to go there, get a dozen chargrilled oysters and one of their fabulous cocktails and just think life is good. It's good for what ails ya.
  21. Why yes.....yes it is. All you have to do is work your butt off for decades in order to have it!
  22. Why thanks BB. Now that we've met I think we have found out we are more alike than we thought. And you're right my better half is a smart guy.
  23. In the Kroger shopping center on 41 in Vinings. If you ever have a chance to go there GO! She says "oh Daddy....."
  24. Last night, my better half took me to dinner at C&S seafood. Chargrilled oysters, truly a little tiny piece of heaven in your mouth. Then for dinner I had the king crab legs. They were unlike ANY crab I've had in a long, long time. Sweet, fat, whole pieces of tender, tender crabmeat. I've had my special dinner that will last me a while! Thanks Babyface! Wow.....how'd I get two topics off of one post? Oh well.
