yes - I heard that on Sunday there were supposed to be more big sales with "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday" type discounts

after the EMS units went in service on this one, Mrs. Freebird called mat at 1:35 or so asking why traffic was stopped at the county line. I suspect a wrecker was trying to retrieve the vehicle - I just don't know where this could have happend at - there are really no "hills" in the area of the call other than the area of the lake/dam right at the line. -
I pay $36/quarter. I sent in the payment anyway (I use auto bill pay with my credit union) -- I was just wondering if anyone else had problems getting a bill. They have been picking up the trash each week....

If you use Trashtaxi, have you recieved a bill in the past 4-5 months? I normally get one every quarter, but I did not get one in September for Oct-Dec nor one for Jan.

okay - we have a full moon upon us so we should be due some good Springer style action. There are also a lot of suicide threats/attempts this time of year. I am REALLY dissapointed that I have NOT heard the ususal "smoke coming from chimney" call yet this year....

I think she is listening to the Cobb scanner.

PCOM has a paulding scanner on the fastread page - http://paulding.com/forum/index.php?app=portal and then about half way down. They don't scan all the channels. Paulding 10 codes: http://paulding.com/forum/index.php?/topic/24333-new-10-codes-use-these/

they are working in front of a terminal - so when a unit provides his status, the dispatcher updates that unit. The dispatcher is also prompted to status a unit if they are out on a call and the officer has not reported back in a certain amount of time. Cobb is probably much more advanced than Paulding. Years ago, Paulding was supposed to be going to in-car dispatch, but I have not seen any of that. I know that many or all the cars have computers - so they can see the same narrative as they are recieving verbally. P.S. Paulding is much better for the "Springer factor" if you are

Honestly, I have not reallly listened to Cobb for many years since they went to encrypted transmission on a lot of their frequenies. The 2214 in your question is the officer's unit number. The code 4 would be 10-4. With Cobb, you'll also hear a signal 4, which is requesting rescue. So, different agencies us 10-codes, and a few stat codes and others use stat codes. Here is a listing of all the codes you'll here on Cobb: http://www.scancobb.com/Codes.html There is a many to 1 dispatcher/officer ratio. In Paulding, when I visited the 911 center many years ago, there was 1 di

The officers ran into the homeowner as soon as they arrived. The caller obviously is not in touch with their community if they do not even know what their neighbor looks like. There is a BIG difference between a "10-15 in progress" and "suspicious activities" (two guys will pillow cases in this case) -- namely 4 officers having to travel with lights and sirens to a call that wasn't.
