  1. rescue 10, SO enroute to 10-44 attempt details to follow 17 yom, hitting head on wall...
  2. The Yankee flipper that I have lists "US and china parts." My guess is the motor is from china. It is very sturdy - not plastic. Check out the info video at this link: http://www.duncraft.com/index/page/product/product_id/66/product_name/Droll+Yankees+Squirrel+Flipper If you look hard enough you can probably find this one in the $90 range.
  3. yes - once the battery dies, it is open season for access to the feed. Many times, they get use to not bothering with the feeder and do not even realize the battery needs a charge. Mine is at least 5 years old and has not required any maintenance.
  4. rays, that is only for those on the gubmet cheese plan
  5. I have one of these: http://www.duncraft.com/index/page/product/product_id/66/category_id/34/product_name/Droll+Yankees+Squirrel+Flipper works well and is cheap entertainment. Battery does neet to be charged - depending on usage (how often a "new young gun" comes into town)
  6. engine 9 enroute to brush fire, three yards involved at this point, fence on fire
  7. 3410 reports engine 1's status as 10-4. I have not heard the clark unit arrive yet, but they should already be there by now.
  8. that is why this one caught my attention. The med apparently is something that a resident of the YDC may be taking - somehow he must have gotten ahold of a lot of it
  9. rescue 1, clark med 6 enroute to YDC on Industrial Way N, reference an OD eng 1 picking up on call - on scene they must have been around the corner at the maintenance shop 16 yom - possible OD on "klonopin" a med used to control seizures.
  10. sounds like one of the K-9 units might be called into action dispatcher has spoken with victim and corrected address - obtaining descriptions now SO 135, 122 on scene old white male, tall, skinny, white beard, cap younger white male left in 72 dodge pickup heading towards d-ville SO 151 in the area victim chased the dodge to county line - last seen heading into Douglas county SO 105, 55, 181 all in service faded yellow or tan paint on the truck, early 70s Dodge truck - Paulding is notifiying Douglas
  11. man walked in on someone robbing their house - robber ran off 4 SO or so units enroute unknown description at this point - man that walked in on robber has not been able to be contacted
  12. sorry - I know the background check thing would kill me. Y'all just thought I listen to the scanner for cheap fun? Wrong!! I'm always listening for when the man is coming for me....
  13. affordable is not normally used in the same sentence with health insurance. try ehealthinsurance.com or a broker that deals with health insurance. I use Kaiser and I feel it is the best value in Atlanta,
  14. ah, if memory serves me, scanpaulding.com was around during the big flood. I know that I covered a lot of action that day..... I've always wondered what the Sheriff thinks about us posting this stuff. I have to ask - how did WSB end up in Paulding? Was it a slow news day?
  15. I have the platinum model - it came with 60 k-cups as well as the filter for using your own coffee. It was $150 at Costco.
  16. I think the coffee is weak - just need to brew smaller cup size (and use two k-cups.) I have been using my own coffee and my wife uses the k-cups. They have them on Amzon and they seem to have the best price that I have found. You should also have a coupon for registering the unit that will get you two free boxes with the purchase of two.
  17. Happy new year to all - I am looking forward to a better year too.
  18. On Christmas eve we saw two monsters being brought in on a flatbed trailer. One of these days I am going to take my boys for the show.
  19. try radioreference.com - if you send me a PM to remind me, I'll send you all that I scan (GSP, bus barn, SO, EMS, mutual aid, etc.)
  20. I did end up finding a web-site that has a lot of free clinics- http://www.gfcn.org/ Each that I called said they only serve those that live in their area and you need proof of residency. The Kennesaw urgent care is a good lead. We'll try that as another place I called was $125 for an office visit.
  21. most indigent would go to the ER when they are sick....
  22. mrsdavidj6, I have not received the PM yet.... Maybe the board is behind on its deliveries due to the Christmas rush.
  23. I am looking for a free or low-cost health clinic that can see a friend that has a really bad and infected ingrown toe-nail. I've tried Good Samaritan House in Cobb and Luke's Place in Mabelton. Anyone know of any other resources?
