HAS ANYONE HEARD FROM LADY RAIDER?
dumbestgirlintheworld replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Hoping for a quick healing for hubby! -
That was my guess... You are hilarious. You should do the ole, "Honey, do you need me to grab you another thing of tampons/extra strength deoderant/Vagisil?" while he's in earshot.

How did he get the nickname Fryin? Ahhh, to be young again. PS...FBBC, I think I need in on this covert mission. I have no girls. Drive by?

Manfriend is coming in tonight instead of tomorrow due to snow...they are already closing schools in the NYC/NJ/Philly area. On top of the 2 feet they got over the weekend. You guys can have all the winter weather you want...AFTER 8am Thursday.

The ONE thing to take away...if an older person wants to around your child...beware. I give a very, small amount of credit to these men...very small. But I just want to kill them all honestly. In horrible ways. I WILL be talking to my son AGAIN about this tomorrow.

I do caution those that decide to watch it. I'm sitting here thinking very terrible, evil things to anyone that did these things to my child. Hell would seem like paradise. It is VERY hard to watch. Warning out there.

This is making me effin' sick.

Spin-off of going out on my own

PS...that came off kind of abbrasive. I'm sorry!! I think that baskets have a great market, but balloon baskets may niche you to hospitals and baby showers. -

My honest opinion is to go in the direction of corporate baskets. Stuffed balloons are pretty cheesy...though I know someone that makes a TON of money at Christmas only with a SINGLE client...and I mean like $25K. -
Considering going out on my own...

Green event planning is all the rage...It's hype, but I can do hype. Having planned them, I'm not sure that there's anything more wasteful than an event. The hurt is in the $5K capital to start up, that's by my most conservative estimates. Plus, first year losses...it's a 12-24 obligation/risk, which I'm prepared to venture into if the payoff is there. I just need to decide if it's there...and really be sure I've accounted for everything. -

So when you say it's not easy...what isn't easy? What IS rewarding? -

Actually - per my discussion today, you can accept unemployment while trying to start a new business. You have to claim ANY income and it's deducted from your unemployment benefits. If it exceeds, your benefits are null. This is up until $3300. That said, I haven't looked into the legalities of incorportation - hence the thread. These are all things that I have to think through.... -
Does it concern anyone else?

So you'd prefer that the city PAY someone - who may or may not have more intergrity, rather than invest in a $15 shredder? -

Yep. I was laid off last week. It's been the best blessing, but I need to decide if I want to go back to corporate america or become my own boss. Having all this time with my son is really making me consider the latter. -
So jealous! Have fun, and be careful.

That's true!! Frankly, I probably wouldn't use pcom as a form of advertising for the simple reason that I don't live in Paulding and the bulk of my existing relationships is with Atlanta hotels, florists and networking groups. It would just make sense to try to leverage those vs. going into a new, and honestly, softer market. ETA: Nick, thank you for your words of encouragement. -
Best....hmm, I'll go with most creative, not best. My boyfriend sent me on a scavenger hunt. It started at my car with a card and a key to the mailbox. At the mailbox there was a card that said, "go inside and put this on". Inside was a path of rose petals into the bathroom where there was a bath drawn and 100 tealight candles ((which PS, make a bathroom VERY hot). I took a bath and then there was a card telling me to drive to the mall and go to Victoria Secrets. There they had a red teddy and red silk robe for me along with another card which told me to go home, and he had dinner waiting

An ugly ass hummingbird feeder. I'm sure it was a last minute gift at Walmart - had metal pastel flowers all over it. My house decor, including outside, is pottery Barn-esque??? I think I might actually still have it, because it was such an off the wall gift for me. I'll see if I can find it. I don't like birds???? What??? Really????

I went to the unemployment office today...and wow. 10.5% unemployment rate and I'm not sure that it's going to get much better anytime soon. So, I'm considering starting my own event planning/wedding planning business. Here's why I do have... 1. I've managed 2 large events, one with a $600K budget the other with a million dollar budget 2. I've planned my own wedding 3. I'm very creative, fashionable and I have floral industry experience Now, this certainly isn't a lot of experience - but people have to start somewhere, right? The average wedding planner fee is 10%, corporate eve

A flash mob is where a large group of people suddenly start dancing and then just as suddenly return back to life...I'll post a video. -
How in the world do you find them? Or do you h ave to start one? It looks so fun!
