    I think HP stepped out. I see hog spying on s down there. I guess we are the only talkers left. Marc desserted us a while ago.

    I received a bonus check from my employer...totally unexpected !! I was excited !!!!

    Anybody else get an unexpected surprise this season ?????

     

     

    I was surprized my bonus went up from last year.

    Nah, fixing to hit the sack in a bit. I have been playing Left 4 Dead with some friends for the past few hours. Sooooo glad I don't have to work tomorrow. :p

     

     

    I'm looking forward to next week. Only have to work 2 days and then off for 6. Still get paid for a full week.

    It wouldn't be so bad out here if the wal mart stayed open but the only thing out here that is 24 hours is the McDonald's. The closest thing to me that is open is Kroger in Dallas. What kind of charity work do you do out here? If you ever need any help let me know. I have been dying to do something other than sit in this house all day.

     

     

    Ride for fallen officers in Atlanta every year. (I am a sponsor) I set up a 30'x30' tent at the end of the ride and cook for the survivors familys the night before the ride.

     

    Worlds Largest Truck Convoy in Marietta with The Marietta Police (I am a sponsor and sit on the planning board)Cook the night before the event and the day of. Also set up the tent.This year I had a dozen trucks in it.This is for the Special Olympics.

     

    Support rides all over the state (and some out of state) for fallen officers

     

    Close ties with C.O.P.S. ( concerns of police survivors) here in Georgia

     

    This year the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce and Georgia Trends Magizine honored me(in my companys name) with an award for my time given to not-for-profit organizations.

    We generally don't deal with traffic anymore. We live in rockmart. and if there is traffic it is 10 or so cars waiting fo rthe train to pass. LOL /I am orginally from Acworth so Traffic was fairly normal for me.

     

    I have a tractor trailer that delivers Mon-Fri nights in rockmart around midnight and a couple of vans that make night drops at nursing homes out in Rockmart.What department does your husband work for? You can PM that info if you don't want it on the open board.(I do tons of charity work with local departments)

    I know but, I was already there and I didn't want to have to drive all the way back out there. I did some shopping for my mom and I got some AWESOME deals so it wasn't all bad. It feels good to be back to my normal self again. It took me about an hour and a half to get home tonight. I had forgotten how horrible the traffic is around there. I have never been so happy to be back out in the middle of nowhere. LOL

     

     

    Thats why I love working the night shift. On the way to work all the traffic is coming towards Dallas. In the morning I have my side of Dallas highway all to myself most of the time. :yahoo:

    I am tired tonight. I took the little guy to chuck e cheeses today with two of my cousins. It was nuts. Then Stupid me went to the mall in kennesaw to get a few things. It took me forever to get home. But, I am nearly done with Christmas shooping now so I am doing my happy dance.

    Harmony Road at Mulberry Rock Rd

    Chick was coming home from wrestling pratice (th eboys wrestle) and was on Mulberry Rock Road at Harmony Road and said there were a "ton of cop cars" (technically that is only one cops car as they each weigh over 2,000lbs) at this intersection. Figured one of you scanner junkies may know.

    How do you spend Christmas?

    My family is 2000 miles away so I get together with my wifes family who is local sometime before xmas and exchange gifts. On xmas eve we open gifts with the grand kids at our house then about 9pm myself and the wife take off and go somewhere different every year.This year we have a cabin in Gatlinburg for 5 days.

    we are going to Gatlinburg next weekend with ALL of hubbys family (about 40 or 50 something people) and we are broke so I was wondering what is free?? or nearly free.....we know Cades Cove and might do that but what else?? There is a pool at our place that we will prolly let the kids do..its a "year round" pool so I guess it's an indoor pool

     

     

    1. Ride to the top of the pass towards Cherokee if its open. You can call 1-865-436-1200 for road conditions

    2.Go over to Pigeon Forge and see the lights.

    3.Ride over to Cherokee and trout fish. This will cost 7 dollars for a day permit and if I remember children under 16 can fish off an adults permit(1 child per adult permit). The best place to fish if you have kids is the ponds in front of the KOA camp grounds on Cove road.This time of year the ponds may be frozen over so check them before you buy the permits.Coming from Gatlinburg at the first light you run into take a left and Cove road is the first road on the left.

     

    Myself and my wife go up at least once a month and enjoy the whole area. Most everything up there will cost you.Hope this is some help.

     

    If you decide to fish PM me and I'll tell you what to use to catch them.I have about 60 in the freezer at home.I have caught 5-7 pounders out of the ponds

    What's going on at The corner of Hwy 92 & Ridge Rd?

    We rode by there this afternoon and saw a trailer (tractor & trailer kind) and something that looks like a trench was dug. Couldn't tell much from Ridge Rd. But, I'd be interested in knowing if the owner has sold any of his land. Please keep this on the front page and hopefully someone will know! TIA!!

    hey vinny....working here..then off all weekend

     

     

    Morning Marc. Busy weekend for me. Have to decorate a 26' truck at the Cobb Civic center Friday afternoon for the Festival of Trees.THen be at the opening for it Friday night. Be at it Saturday and then have my Company X-mas party Saturday night. On Sunday afternoon I have to start delivering the trees from the festival.
