  1. Sorry but that is all rather petty. If he has an engineering degree then he is an engineer . Does he state he is license in Georgia? If he says he does and really does not then that would be a lie. To call the school by the name it now goes by is not a big deal. Not that I care for the guy but at least come up with real reasons not BS it only weakens your stand against him and gives reason for people to vote for him not against him.

  2. *YAWN* Pubby said he's been on the floor with Nathan Dean and been with him under the "Gold Dome", yada, yada, yada, but Nathan Dean, public official, isn't here to support anythying Pubby says... I don't think it's fair that Pubby gets to claim his conversations then! Quid Pro Quo!

The thing about people who feel the need to name drop is most all the time those poor people did not leave the same impression on the person whose name they like to drop. Hell most of the time that person would not remember their name much less ever meeting them . So just feel sorry for them that they are only important in their on minds and the minds of uneducated or less socialize people.

  3. Yep, that is Bill Heath for you ... another half-lie that Murphy was going to make out like a bandit ... when the real beneficiary was the people of Georgia who needed the water. His has been a history of focusing on petty, the small and the hateful because his view of the world is so conservative, he's like the kids staring out the back window of a slow moving station wagon.

I love how if it is a person you like and back it is ok to tell half lies , be somewhat underhanded, not know where you really live and bend whatever rules you want to because after all everyone else does it. If that is the type of people you back then I would say anyone you back is someone I would never want in office.

  4. Let's see if I've got this straight:

    • While Chairman of the Paulding County Board of Commissioners, Bill Carruth used his inside knowledge of plans to build the "Bill Carruth Parkway" to have his father in-law buy up property on Egg Farm Rd at a fraction of the price of what it would ultimately be worth? He basically used his position to profiteer on the county's business?
    • He defaulted on a $2.1M loan that the FDIC is now suing him in order to try to recover?
    • He tried to pull a fast one by claiming that he lives in a $100K home inside District 31 instead of his million dollar mansion which is outside Ditrict 31 and he hopes that the residences of the district won't notice or won't mind because he's a "Paulding County Boy"?t
    • Pubby thinks that we should ignore all of this because he doesn't like Heath?

Rules, laws any really is only important if you are out of the click . Small town with even smaller minds. Hey you get the well so and so does it so it is OK.

  5. We don't really know the facts in this case, but should there be some form of negligence assigned to someone that does not protect such a hazard from a child?

What about a child wondering too close to a viscous dog?

Protecting a pool seems like a good county ordinance or very high home owner's rates for someone that decides to not protect the property from unwanted guests.

I think it is strange that you have to have a fence to protect neighbor kids fron your pool but nothing to protect you own kids or others who are visiting a home with a pool.

  6. You are right Solo. I kept my grandkid and he was a smart cookie. It did not take him long to find that he could pull up a chair and turn the deadbolt lock we had installed high up on the door. We had to install the alarm that chimed when the door opened. Well worth the extra effort!

It scares me to death to know so many do not do these simple things. My family is one that suffered through this years ago before alarms were around.

  7. Same thing that start many fires and small explosions....charging batteries on those golf carts. And with so many using electric golf carts these days, always be careful...charge the batteries OUTSIDE!!! Never inside, unless all doors are open and there is plenty of ventilation. AS soon as you stick a charger on a battery, it immediately releases hydrogen gas- one of the most volatile gases on the earth. If you need to charge the battery on your riding mower, for example.....plug the charger in, and run the cable OUTSIDE the garage to the battery. Never inside. It's not all that common, but it does happen. The smaller the closed in space, the higher the risk. It's all about ventilation, and folks...even if it rain on your battery while it's outside charging, it won't hurt a thing, since it's D.C. current. DC will not shock you. You can grab both ends of a battery all day long with each hand, and NOTHING will happen. So, just set the battery(s) outside during charge time. ;)

WOW I never knew that....good info
