1. Mix a batch of regular cake batter, either from scratch or using a mix. 2. Pour a small amount into the small cake pan that comes with the Easy Bake oven, to between 1/2 and 2/3 full. 3. Bake the rest of the batter in a regular oven while your son bakes his in the Easy Bake oven.

Indiana to pass law that could allow discrimination against gays

If we lived in a free country, privately-owned businesses would be free to do business, or not, with whomever they please. If customers feel their policy is sexist, racist, and/or homophobic, they would be free to boycott such a business. -

I do like the expression "much obliged," though I feel it should be followed by "to ya, ma'am," and a courteous tip of the cowboy hat. (I.e. I don't picture non-cowboy-hat-wearing men saying it) -
Paulette Rakestraw. I wrote her back explaining that increasing the gas tax by close to 50% is not the way to fix transportation issues and that that hurts working people who will not only be paying a lot more in gas prices, but in all the other costs that will be affected (i.e. pretty much everything). Her reply? "if we dont have jobs then no one can afford gas or food or anything else." They didn't even have the decency to pretend this tax hike is temporary.

This is what my representative replied when I asked why she voted to support this. Raising gas prices by another 20 cents/gallon will help commute times?? Now I've heard everything. Most if my constituents want us to fix transportation to help their commute times (its going to get exponentially worse in the future with the increases truck traffic coming out of Savannah when the port opens) and they want the jobs weve brought to Georgia to stay so people can work. Companies will move out and wont want to locate here if we cant get their vehicles and employees to work in a relatively timely

I've been to many cities with subway systems (London, Paris, New York, Boston etc.) and with the exception of Boston's, they were all miserable, crowded and filthy.

^That's the weird thing... the account number hasn't changed in years!! and this very billing company has processed payments with this account number many times!
-
It was through local utility companies' third-party billing sites. We should probably pay those through our bank's online billing if this is going to be an ongoing problem. BTW, when I paid these, I copied/pasted the same routing and account number that went through just fine with other (larger national) companies, and with the same that we've successfully used in the past. We triple-checked after we got the "payment did not go through" message and they were perfectly correct.
-
We just had three of our utility companies reject our online bill payments, with the message they couldn't contact the payment agency or that our account or routing number is invalid (they are perfectly valid and have been used to pay these bills for years... and yes, there was plenty of money in the account). This has only happened with local utilities like Paulding water/sewer and Trash Taxi... no issues paying companies like AT&T. Has anyone else had issues with online bill payment this week? I'm wondering if the local companies use the same third-party billing service and they're h

WHAT?????!!!!! Why do our representatives want to rape us like this?? When does this start? Is this supposedly temporary (it never ends up being temporary) or do they freely admit they are raping us indefinitely?

Seems like it would have been more fun to marry a roller coaster, like this woman did. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/5972632/Woman-getting-married-to-fairground-ride.html

Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just called my phone back and a woman answered and told me she found my phone in her front yard!!! This woman is an ANGEL!!!!!!!!!!! (and the phone even still works, apparently!! Amazing!!!)
-
OMG. I received a message from my home phone (I was upstairs with the toddlers so didn't answer)... from my own cell phone number. The message is almost indiscernible except for a woman saying "found your cell phone." What??!!! Brian, I had locked it via Find My iPhone so no one could use it, but it displayed a message with my home phone number on it.

Because my 3-year-old had been playing with it immediately before, and I don't want youtube suggesting questionable videos to him. CitizenCain, it's an iPhone 4... it's several years old, and I doubt it would be covered, and honestly, I was planning to upgrade anyway. The only two reasons I wanted it were in case I hadn't synced since I took cute video of my toddlers the other day, and as a distraction should I need it for said toddlers. So really, it probably wasn't worth my trudging through the mud to look for it, but I hate losing a perfectly good piece of technology (not to mention ad

Alas, the phone is still MIA. 2busy4, I do have the Lookout app (it was a paid app, right?) but grrr, I don't think I ever set it up!! (Have I mentioned lately that I'm an idiot?? ) At least the phone is locked with a message with my home phone number on it, in case an honest person happens to be walking through the muddy ditch it is probably in. If, that is, it survived being thrown from the roof of a car going 50mph, landing in mud, and being rained on all night.

Ha... thanks. The word "jogging" in my post made ME tired. I used to run 6-10 miles/day. I hate that overly energetic girl I used to be.
-
:sigh: This is a long shot, but apparently I'm an idiot and I'm desperate. I drove off tonight with my phone on top of my car. I realized what I'd done when I heard a thud as I accelerated on Old Cartersville. I've been out looking with a toy flashlight, and although I didn't find it, at least it's not smashed in the street. If anyone does any jogging/walking along Old Cartersville, would you let me know if you spy an old iPhone in a clear/translucent case? I know... it's a long shot... but I thought I'd ask. (Of course I had to have the phone in airplane mode, or else I could call it

The Bobo Rd. comment is what a neighbor said. Should have clarified that was someone else's opinion, not mine. Glad to hear it's only partially icy. Re: Old Cartersville, I drove in Boston for six winters and had no problem with the icy spots, but of course you must assume that the driver in front of you and behind you could well be an idiot. So, better to drive as though you're an overly scared nincompoop than land in a ditch, as one of my neighbors has already tonight.
-
Yes. Old Cartersville Rd. has patches of ice (and already an accident from it) and Bobo Rd. is a sheet of ice.

A light Sleet in South Paulding just started

There are now ice patches along Old Cartersville Rd. (and presumably other roads)... at least one car has already slid off the road, tying up three cop cars, a fire dept. vehicle and an ambulance. Don't head out tonight unless you have to, and if you do, assume there will be invisible ice patches and drive much more slowly than you think you need to. -

Terribly sad to lose such a young husband, father, and member of the community. Praying for his family and friends.... -
PEOPLE. My husband and I personally knew Bobby Franklin. This bill had NOTHING to do with giving women who suffer the tragedy of miscarriage the death penalty. It's about honoring the life of the little baby who was lost. Bobby knew about the miscarriages my husband and I had and had nothing but the most heart-felt empathy. This bill would have honored my babies' lives, given them a birth and death certificate, and recognized them as my CHILDREN, which they were. The ONLY situation that would cause a woman who "miscarried" to be punished under this bill would be if she deliberately attempt

I just came here to post about this!! OUTRAGEOUS!!! There is NO WAY this house is worth what they claim. We plan to appeal but figure we'll be slapped back down and raped by the county anyway.

Okay, thank you!

This is great! Was this covered in any news outlets? Would love more info as many of my neighbors were hit.
