I am so glad you are using the real cream cheese and butter! This is the main reason I hardly ever eat baked goods. We had some great bakers in our family and I can taste the difference when they use those ingredients. On the sugar free fruit pies you might want to try what I do to make them sweeter. I mix corn starch into the fruit before I put it into the pies, it causes the fruit juices to concentrate and gives it a sweeter taste.

Hi! I just saw this! I was not so crazy about the weather, a lot like today. You could see the Thames river from my kitchen window. I loved the Italian bakery and the deli's. Nothing can compare to all the great mom and pop places to eat. I absolutely loved New England, drove all over it every chance I got. I liked taking ferries across the sound to Long Island, I also loved taking trains. It was never quite like home, but I managed to enjoy myself while I was there. We lived in New London a couple of months while waiting on housing.

There are no words, it simply hurts and is profoundly sad for everyone when we lose a loved one. Time is the only healer, you now know that many are here to walk with you through the passage of time until you get to a place where the pain becomes bearable.

It is good to hear from you. You made so many friends here, I am glad you are ready to reach out and share.
