  1. Good MOnring Mystery you are up early....

Good Morning Laurie I was gonna work in the yard yesterday but My get up and go just left me LOL

    Good Morning Nemie...

    I understand,

Mine has been doing that a lot lately,

But I had to force myself to overseed unless i wanted to be living in a dust bowl,

I still have to finish this week, I am usually done by mar. 1 with this.

My daffodils are breath taking this year, must have been the leaves packed around them.

  2. I know the numbers could be worse,

But I am just so sad reading this,

I love my Babies so much, I can not understand how you could take your baby there.

And leave it alone and afraid in a cage.

I know it is better than leaving them on the road to starve but still--

It just makes me so sad I want to cry.

Thank you Meltid for all you do.

I know it makes you sad also.

  3. Lost 4 lbs Laurie, but was waiting to report back to you when I could really "Wow" you!! Thanks for asking. :) My skinny little step-daughter was visiting recently and she eats every hours or so...but she is nursing and pregnant. :D

So, I don't get out much...where is Java Jo's? And do you know which day they are opening? This is great!

We are going to head out to HD in Cartersville this eve for some other supplies, so I'll see if they have a clearance on lighting there. Thanks for the heads up collegegal, and confirming that I should stay out of Progressive. :)

4lbs is great girl do not sell yourself short, I am proud of you for following through,

The store is at Cleburne pkwy and 278, I will check the sign in the morning so I can give you an accurate date.

This is what I say about young and skinny, Is babies and years level the playing field.

It's the effort you put into in the later years that set you apart, because it is hard work to keep that package neat after 40.

  4. Laurie - Wet food is MOST appreciated! The shelter gets dry food supplied as part of their budget, but the wet helps with the sick ones, mommas and babies! I'm not sure what else might be needed - maybe Meltid or Clawdia1998 might know. I'll find out tomorrow when I'm there. THANK YOU!!

and just a slight correction to joflo's post -- due to recent changes in how adoptions and microchip registrations are done at the shelter, the adoption fee has slightly changed. Still $35 for one, which is the adoption fee and a fully registered microchip in the adopters name. For two (2) adoptions done at the same time, the fee is now $50 - adoption fee and two fully registered microchips in the adopters name. Cash or check only ..... Best deal in town!

Hoping for a great day at the shelter, opens at 12:00!!

    :)

Ok Thats what I brought last month, I will bring the same this month.

Do you need any cleaning stuff?

Or anything else you may be low on.

I also like to get snacks for you guys.

If you still have the vase around I still have lots of daffodils to put in it!

Good luck on adoptions this weekend let us kow how it goes.

  5. I work next door to the new lighting store behind java jo's.

I have been looking in the windows as it is being set up.

They have some really neat stuff, I can hardly wait until they open this week.

Of course my husband can probably wait.

Ps. Have you tried the more frequent eating and how is it working if you have?

  6. What I see are more of the working poor falling into a big crack,

The doctors and medical system are sliding into it also,

along with the middle classes unable to insure special needs and prexisting.

At the bottom of the crack is a black hole called insurance and pharmaceutical companies.

The bottom line is no one wants to suffer or God forbid die.

    This is very profitable.

You are veiwing this from a humanist point.

But there is a reason poor people find themselves in this position.

They have been in survival mode for so long they really can not see beyond it.

If you do not understand what it is to be this poor, then how can you judge.

Millions of poor and unisured in this country wait as long as possible to seek help, and try to treat there own ailments.

    Or simply die.

I do not have a solution to this problem,

I just find it very sad,

If you are paying for insurance or paying taxes, you are covering not only people in this position, but the folks taking advantage of the system.

Do not have an answer to that either.

This is just a sad consequence of the way the system is.

  7. I just checked the website,

Yall have a full house this week,

I hope many are adopted this week.

March is here, and since I donate every month, usually food and treats.

Do you need anything special before I go out and get the usual donation of food.

I was going to get puppy and kitten food this time.

Does this need to be wet or dry?

  8. Hi bunny,I have been thinking about you all afternoon,

My prayers are for you and your dad,

I know the waiting is hard.

I am here if you need me.Did you relieve ant stress yet,

You should do it for yourself.

Relieve some of the frustration I know you are feeling,

    Laurie

  9. Or maybe it will be someone else's child who suffers the consequences...

My friend lost her beautiful six month old daughter to whooping cough because other parents did not vaccinate...

If your friends child had the vaccine how did it catch whooping cough from another child?

  10. Do not vaccinate,

    This is an educated decision.

Doctors reccomend a lot of things.

But at the end of the day they do not go home with with a brain damaged child.

At this time it is still unknown what vaccines do long term to the immune system.

I say to everyone, educate yourself. Know the consequences of vaccinations, each and everyone you will give your child.

What are the consequences of the diseases they can contract.

Are they brain damage, immune system disorders, or death.

In the end you and your child ultimately live with the consequences.

  11. is that what it is?

thank you everyone for thinking of us.

he's laying in the floor and the youngest just ran a truck over his head

When that truck ran over his head I know he was thanking doggy god for the pain meds.

  12. Oh,I feel so sorry for him I know he doesn't understand what is happening.

All you can do is love on him and assure him.

Hopefully the pain meds are making it easier on him.

He must hate not being able to walk around.

He is so lucky to have you to take care of him.

  13. Nice to meet you today, LPPT. :)

Yep, that hurts. I'll have to catch the news. I heard a little something about it on the radio when I was out and about today, but I didn't listen that closely.

Am I the only one who thinks it's strange that the earth stood still and all shows were pre-empted for the breaking news that ANS had died, but there wasn't any "breaking news" (that I saw, anyway) that a Taliban suicide bomber made an ASSasination attempt against the vice president today?

    Nice to meet you Tabby,

That sounds about right for the

    american media.

Anna Nicole is like watching white trash picked to pieces and strewn about for the whole world to see.

Someone great who has accomplished something with their life might get a 5 second blurb.

I remember cnn doing a blurb one day that 20 of our service men died.

Oh well thats what my clicker is for.
