  1. we've met??? some day you will have to fill me in :o :ninja: :o  on who you are.

Thanks for the wonderful compliment - I'm not too bad right now weight wise - holding my own - but OY VEY was I a BBBBIIIGGG girl a while back and hopefully will not be returning to that "figure" any time soon!

do you do any type of tighting or toning workshops or offer advice? I definitely have been thinking about that for a while! Losing weight is great, getting back into a real shape might make all the hard work so worth it!

I am always glad to help any one on here with advice on toning, or anything else.

Obviously i am on here to help build my clientele.

Most people know if they need my services so I am on here offering them.

I am always glad to answer questions or just encourage people.

    To answer your questuon,

Toning will definitely help keep the weight off and help you look and feel better.

Look around at tapes, books, and equipment in the store, find something that looks fun and interesting to you.

That is what is best for anyone, something they like well enough to stick with.

Then make an appointment with yourself 3 days a week to do it.

Do not let anyone or anything interfere with your date.

Put it on the priority of a doctors app.

Let me know how it works and what you decide on.

  2. I have lost a LOT of weight, took me 2 years to do it at 1, 2 or 3 pounds per week (and some weeks where nothing happened), but consistency is best when losing weight and I've kept it off for 18 mos so far. No I didn't do any programs like WW or South Beach or NutroSystem (and I hate their commercials), just changes in eating (no sodas and no fast food) and exercise - even little changes help like parking as far away from stores as you can (saves your car from getting dings too!) or walking for 10 minutes up and down the driveway can help ...

It will be hard, but keep at it - you can do it!!

I know you don't recognize me as the trainer, but i have met you and you lok great! I would have never known you had ever been overweight a day in your life.

    Congratulations girl!

  4. Yea i hear ya on the pregnancy stuff....i didnt have a problem till i got pregnant......oh i was supposed to come see you today but hubby took an overtime shift so i got stuck with sick toddler....but im going tomorrow...

Thats fine I know how it goes for the mom.

I see from the thread you are checking out a lot of options for your lifestyle change that is great.

For it to be successful it has to suit you the best so look around.

I will give you some advice on the diet.

If you know you need to eat out a lot and like to snack in a junky way the weight watchers point plan will work best for you.

If you want a lifestyle change for the health of the whole family I can help you move more towards that goal.

I am looking forward to meeting you. I am excited about working with someone who has a goal and is ready to achieve it!

Maybe we could share your progress with the folks on here.

It would help give others hope.

    Or maybe not!

  5. I will, thanks so much. I just set up a daily reminder with your plan. And I added to eat breakfast with in an hour of waking like FBBC said! I would love to loose the 20 pounds that found me over the last 4-5 years!

Please keep me posted, I love success stories about people losing weight and making lifestyle changes.

It is actually why I love what I do, especially helping women.

Women just are not given the same tools as men, like weight training and sports in high school.

Our bodies are less tolerant of sugers and carbs than men.

We lose a lot of muscle tissue during pregnancy, all these things work against us and our weight tends to spiral out of control as we age.

And we feel out of control so we eat less because we feel guilty and it is the worse thing we can do.

  6. I'm am going to try this! I usually only eat twice a day, but when I do eat I get the stray cat syndrome...eat everything in sight just in case it's my last meal. ;)

Really do give it a try.

I have had clients that started eating frequently and not even change what they ate, start losing weight rapidly.

  7. You have gotten some really good advice so far.

The grocery store is the best place to start.

    Start reading labels for suger.

It adds so many calories to even the smallest portions of food.

    Weight watchers is also great.

They give you a lot of accountability.

If you are going to do it on your own here is the easiest way to do it consistantly.

Fresh vegtables and meats you prepare yourself.

Prepare your food weekly or bi-weekly.

Every 2-3 hours eat a cup and 1/2 of food, more often if you become hungry.

Excercise at least 3 days a week.

    Consistancy is the key.

    Stay with it.

Other people have done it you can too.

  8. if it can be advertised on the main board, then i guess this should stay in the internet cafe.

    :D

If this is about my ad, Please let me know.

I left it up to Pubby to do it for me.

If anyone feels it is innappropriate I would welcome feed back.

Advertising is not my area of expertise.

    Fitness is.

I do not want anyone to be offended.

  9. Are you sure you want to suppress your appetite?

Some times you can change what you eat and how often and get the results you desire.

I wish it were as easy as a liile hole in your ear.

If it cures chocolate cravings please let me know.

I have not found anything to help with that,

There really is nothing wrong with eating frequently.

I have a goal of eating every 2 hrs.

My problem is I start to put on weight when I get really busy and only get down about 3 meals a day.
