You're 1985 -
When i had them we were always able to call at the end of the promotion and get whatever promotion they had running at the time. I'm sure it isn't standard practice, but they usually let you.

Anyone familiar with Flexible Spending Accounts?
sharee.smith replied to sharee.smith's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I try to save the majority of it for doctors and prescriptions etc, especially with having a 2 year old. But I also by my excedrin migraine and my daughters motrin, etc with it. That stuff gets expensive! I will just stock up on my excedrin before year end this year -
Anyone familiar with Flexible Spending Accounts?

Well dang. You sound like you are familiar with these, so when it says as of Jan 2011 otc pain medication will only be eligible with doctors authorization, does that mean no tylenol, excedrin, etc? That's what I got from it and that's crazy if so! -
I have a flexible spending account through my work. My question, if you are familiar with them, is would i be able to use my card for my boyfriends medical stuff as well? He needs an eye exam and glasses desperately. His are broke and he has to tape them back together every day and he doesn't have insurance. I think i would be able to use my card for his exam and glasses because i think it's based on the medical expense itself and not who it's for. Could someone correct me if i'm wrong? I would just hate to get there , get the exam and then not be able to use my card.

Mommy2two sent me a great story the other day about a mail carrier. This reminded me of it. M2T, Post it!

I don't think tellers are trained well enough to look at the dates. I work in accounting and we send out thousands of checks a month and when they do the cleanup there are hundreds that were stale dated yet cashed anyways. It's pretty much a pointless concept. Maybe i should have tried to cash that 26 dollar carnival check i found the other day from 10 years ago

Wow! That IS insane!

With Wachovia that's no longer an issue. They have the paperless atms so all cash is immediately available. But it is ridiculous that if i deposit a check there is a hold, but if i go in and cash that check and then deposit the cash it's ready...that's just stupid to me.

I wonder if i know you...do you have a grandson and a "new" granddaughter too? If so i do know you -
I have that linked. I'm just broke so i'm never able to keep anything in savings either.

What all is going to be changing with these new laws? Where can i find that information?
-
Interesting. I had no idea. I guess the confusion comes from the posting date. They have the atms now that when you deposit cash it's immediately applied to your account. The check was not showing up yesterday nor was it out of my balance which means it didn't post until last night, so the money was in there to cover it. When i call what they tell me will be completely different than what I see on online banking. It always is, which is why i told them yesterday that basically being able to view my account online doesn't help at all anyways.

I would advise against humana. I have them and they tend to deny alot of claims that have to be put back through.

Wachovia or Bank of America? I currently have Wachovia and have been having issues with them lately. I came in a couple weeks ago and had 175 in overdraft fees which I fought and received back. Now I have another one for a check that as of yesterday hadn't posted. I deposited a few bucks to cover it yesterday (because i realized i would have been .29 short). I come in today and have a fee for that check and the check amount isn't in my transactions at all yet the total of the check is deducted from my balance. I obviously feel like it's pointless to call and argue again. I'm hoping it re

A couple friends and I always play this game through email while we are working to pass time. I stole it from the show that was on for only a season or two, but basically we just ask random questions, funny/serious etc and you have to tell the truth. We are running out of questions....throw some at us

That reminds me of when i was in my apt...nothing to do with cussing but my daughter was about 3 weeks old asleep in her swing and i heard this bang on the door. I peeped out the peep hole and saw two little boys playing any miny moe with which of the 4 doors on our hall they wanted to throw their dodge ball at. I watched them do it to one other door and opened the door to inform them my child was asleep and this was MY apt and if they felt it necessary to continue I may feel it necessary to follow them home and meet their parents. Brats. Obviously , different situation than my original

Not mine, she's not in school. Maybe I should have been more clear, I'm not referring to the occasional cuss word overheard in a sentence or two. I'm referring to the situations such as the 17-18 year old kid in front of me one day that had 2 or 3 cuss words flying out of his mouth at a time with an occasional if, and or but in between. While the entire time turning around every few seconds looking at me and my daughter sitting in the buggy, as if he were showing off because it's cool to use such language. Those are the times you can bet your behind i'm saying something. Or t

Why aren't they allowed to account for muscle vs fat? It seems like that would be the most accurate way.
