Same here, I have known Joe all my life. One of the nicest people I have ever had the privilege to know.Our thoughts & prayers will be with all his family & friends. Rest in Peace our dear friend....Heaven got another angel.

I started my first five years in Marietta right off the square. then we moved next to my grandparents farm in Paulding. When we still lived in Marietta the Cobb County fair was in walking distance there on Fairground Street of what I can remember. Does anyone remember the fair being there? I just have a distant memory.

It might have been. I will ask her more about it. She would have been very young in the 1930's. She was telling me she thought one of their older brothers might have taken the younger children. She said they had rides & everything else that a county fair would have.

My aunt just told me there was a county fair during that time & it was where Mary's flower shop is now. I thought I had remembered my mother & aunts talking about it over the years but was not sure until my aunt confirmed it while ago.

Never tried the Steakhouse. We like the steaks at Rodney's and Briar Patch. Love the Pizza Farm. Everything we have had there is good. Our personal favorite is the farmhouse special & greek salads.

We had a big feast with family Thanksgiving & brought home some leftovers but they were gone pretty quick. I was so full Thursday night all I wanted was a turkey sandwich& it was delicious. We finished the rest of the left overs yesterday.

We are getting together with our family So we are taking Baby lima beans, green bean casserole, Hawaiian sweet rolls (one of my cousins favorite rolls) Red Velvet cake & sweet tea. Everyone always brings their favorite dishes, along with Turkey and dressing and ham. We always end up with a feast & enjoy every bit of it. We are having pork chops, green beans, mashed taters & gravy & for dessert white fudge oreos It does not get much better than white fudge oreos since they only come out for Thanksgiving & Christmas. Unless someone is hiding them somewhere
