Can anyone tell me what a unlawful stop is? I had a friend get a speeding ticket last night and when he was looking at the ticket later he notice it was marked unlawful stop.The cop did not mention it to him and we are not sure what that is.

She had just pulled out of her driveway from a dead stop on 381.She fell in behind 3 other cars and he clocked them doing 59 in a 45.I don't know if he did not see her just pulling out or threw in in with the rest of the bunch.She had gone less than 300 feet.Her car is a old clunker and it could not go that fast that quick on a good day.Especially up hill in which this was.lol

My DIL went to court this morning on a speeding ticket.She pled not quilty and was offered a bench trial or a jury trial.She took the bench trial.Which is better?She has to go back in Feb. or March.
