  1. We've got a fax, DSL, phone and answering machine all on the same line. We have the DSL on its own phone outlet. The phone and fax and answering machine are on the same phone outlet. My husband put a splitter in and the phone is on one line, the fax and answering machine are on the other line. The fax is on auto answer.

If that isn't clear, let me know. Maybe I can explane it better. :D

  2. I just read her post. She doesn't want to water her lawn. She says that she wouldn't waste the water on her lawn. She wants to wash her house and her RV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So maybe the hummer statement wasn't to far off the mark!

  3. No reputable breeder will sell a puppy to a pet store. That is one of the things that make them reputable. They want to know where there puppy is going, if it is going to be a pet or show dog. Reputable breeders usually have it in the contract that pet animals must be spayed/nuetered. Reputable breeders keep track of their dogs. When someone sells to a pet store they give up all control... Not something the few breeders I know of would be willing to do...

  4. We like Dr. Jason E Turner We have been using them since our children first went to the dentist.

The staff has always been very friendly and nice and the children love going to the dentist. They have also been very carefull to not tramatize our youngest when he needed a tooth filled and one pulled!

    They are at:

    126 Enterprise Path

    Hiram, GA 30141

    Phone: (770) 439-9119

They are behind the mexican returant on 278, why can't I think of it's name!, over by the extended stay motel.

  5. Hi all,

I just checked the web site for the Weinman Mineral Museum and this is what they had posted, near a picture of the new science museum:

Construction progress of TELLUS: Northwest Georgia Science Museum as of April 27, 2007. We are still open during our construction phase. Weinman Mineral Museum will close its doors at the end of the day on July 31, 2007.

I guess the mineral museum will close about the time that the new Science museum opens? The web site didn't mention an opening date for the science museum. They have a "rock painting" class scheduled for the saturday before it closes.

Free with paid admission. You can bring your own rocks or use some of theirs...

  6. If people are being shown around by a real estate agent, they will never see the signs.

If it is possible to get to the subdivision without driving by the signs, the agents will not drive past them. They will take the "long" way if they are coming from the "wrong" direction. I am sure the builders have instructed their agents to only come in from the direction that does not have the signs...

Too many people think the agent is working for them. The agent is almost always working for the sellers. They have no incentive to show any of the negatives that might stop a sale and all the incentive in the world to not say anything negative about the house/property/sub-division. If a buyer does not ask specific questions and get the answers in writing, an agent and the seller won't disclose anything negative that is not required by law to be disclosed.

  7. I have one, about 10 months old that I adopted from the shelter. We don't have the time to properly take care of her. She is fully veted ant spayed. She is partially hard of hearing. We also have another one we adopted that is totaly deaf. She is also fully veted, spayed and partially house trained. About the same age. If your friends grandmother has the time and energy, these 2 would make someone very happy. They are both very sweet, used to being around other dogs and children.

One is a Aussi shepard mix, red merle color, the deaf one. The other one is an Aussie cattledog, blue merle coloring.

  8. The Great Clips in the New Hope shopping center will do your hair style for free if you donate your hair.

I think its a Great Clips, there is only one hair place in the shopping center.

They are on the corner of Dallas-Acworth Hwy/East Paulding Road, the Publix shopping center...

  9. Sometimes it is just plain stupidity! People buy a house because it is easy to get financing, but they don't know/don't care about what they are getting into. If you have lived in an apartment all your life, you have no way of knowing what it takes to keep a house and yard looking nice. Then when they get the house, they don't do anything, cause somebody else always did that at the apartment....

Sometimes it is lack of time or money. We are trying to renovate our house and right now we have no time to do the work and not enough money to pay someone else to do it. The grass (what there is of it :D ) gets cut regularly, but not much else!

  10. Hey I didn't know anyone was making this stuff around here.

How can I get some. Personally I like Lilac. I always buy lavender for my MIL.

But I would love to try the ginger one!

    Thanks!!! :D

  11. We've eaten twice at the "new" briarpatch. We don't eat there anymore. It was horrible!!

We like the breakfast and other food at Rodney's. We've always had good service. Right now it's about the only place in Paulding county that you can go for breakfast on the weekend and not have to wait in line to get in. I didn't like their BBQ sauce, but their other food is good.

  12. From what I read of the story, the man did his homework, made sure that the house he bought and the location of the business that he is part owner of were not located anywhere near a church, school, daycare, etc. Now the state is telling him that since the county let 2 daycare centers open within the 1000 ft zone of his house and business he has to move and he can not go to his business.

Personnally, I think the daycare centers (and the state!) are in the wrong. The guy did what was required of him and made sure that he was not in violation of the law. The daycare center owners should have researched and made sure that a registered sex offender was not near by. Of course, they may have done so and just figured that they would force him to move! Just my opinion, don't know if they knew he was there or not.

I think that if GA law was going to specify that he couldn't move to 1000 ft within that type of business, there should also be a law that says a daycare, church or school couldn't be built/opened within 1000ft of a previously registered sex offender.

Personnally, if I was a parent, I wouldn't want to place my child in a center that the owners didn't research the area before building. If they didn't care about possible sex offenders before they built, they won't care about them after it was built... Just my opinion...

  13. You're not the only one. I hate coffee. I love it when guys at work ask me to make a pot of coffee, I just look at them and say "I don't drink it, I don't make it, see ya!!!" You should see the looks I get from :o to :angry2: to the "deer in the headlights, what am I gonna do now" look. It is so funny!!!!!!

Now if they had a good tea house, then I'd be there in a hearbeat! I love a nice hot cup of tea!!

  14. Hey, is this new transfer station, if it is approved, going to be open to everyone in the county, just like the current one?

Boy, if it is, I feel sorry for those of you who live across the street or on any street near it!!!!!!!!!!! You think those garbage trucks are bad. Wait till you see the line of trash filled pickup trucks :( trying to drop off their loads!

We live off of old Cartersville, and we get a lot of traffic from people going to the dump. We have pickup trucks with loads of UNCOVERED household/yard trash on the road a lot on Saturday's, the first/last of the month and right after holidays. Can't tell you how much trash goes flying out of those pickup trucks as they speed down the road. (Posted speed limit on our road is 15mph and most of them are doing 50 or 55.) Yea, we tried to complain, lot of good that did. NOT.

At least we don't have to deal with the big trash trucks!!

I'd be pissed too if they tried to put a transfer station on our road or across the street. I can't wait until they close down the current one.

  15. Hi everybody,

We adopted an Aussie shepard mix last year from the shelter. It turns out that she is deaf. We need to find a trainer to help us with her. I had a contact for an Aussie group here in PC, but I can't find the info.

Does anyone know of a good trainer? Or if the Aussie group is still around?

    Thanks,

    Jeanine

  16. Hi all, I'm trying to find a dog trainer or someone else who has experience with deaf dogs. We adopted an Australian Cattledog mix from the Paulding Animal shelter :) and we think she is deaf or has very limited hearing.

We have no experience with deaf dogs and would like some help. She is 3 months old. Her name is Eisa.

Any suggestions would be appreciated... Thank you....
