The health care costs went up because of Obamacare. Just as it has for all of us citizens. Teachers got a raise mandated by the state, The BOE should have found a way to give the taxpayers a break too. Same with the BOC. The county not only got more tax money but the BOC raised that amount. They have buses but no bus drivers. They just bought new ones.

Thanks to Vernon Collett for considering the taxpayers and voting NO. Tony Crowe voted no because of a pledge he signed while running for election. He said yes with his words. Citizens have rising health care costs too. I doubt those Commissioners thought about that even though several residents told the Commissioners during the hearings.

"livable wage" is a Bernie Sanders socialist term. None of us should be in favor of Government mandating the wages that are paid in America. Karen has it right and Bernie and friends have it wrong. Minimum wage was intended for jobs for students or those starting out in the work force not as a wage goal to support a family.
