  1. sweet tea??? that's a thing of the past in this house. we add crystal light packet to bottled water. tea with lemon, or peach flavored tea. in restaurants? unsweet tea with lemon, add 2 packets of splenda. the taste of sugar makes me make terrible faces!!!
  2. just as you've ASSumed that folks who don't tip skip out on their meal checks. everyone even? *side question* are servers typically responsible for the cost of the meal if the patrons don't pay?
  3. did the job for free? nope! he did it for 2.whatever an hour. and he agreed to that when he took the job. he made the choice to work for an hourly wage, with the possibility of upping his daily take home by making tips.
  4. according to farmgirl, mrsskitty should never grace another restaurant with her presence.
  5. yo. KMA, then go back and re-read the post. BTW he also tips at the places where he eats for free. hmmm....no charge on the meal, 5 dollar tip. best he can do? maybe not, but on a cop's salary it's pretty freakin' good. bless your daughter's heart, but again i'll say this.... no one has to work for servers wages. they choose to. (my son works at Aspens, by choice. he doesn't bitch about poor tippers. he questions what he may have done wrong. he doesn't expect tips, he's grateful for them)

  9. my husband always has to ask me about the tip. he's used to just giving 5, regardless. at lunch, that's fine. dinner? i do the math.

  12. sober for over a year now. have no relationship with jesus. still don't hate drunks, or think that it's appropriate to ridicule them. laugh when they're being funny, yes. judge and ridicule, no. all that's beside the point of the thread. accidents due to driving while intoxicated aren't condoned by me all at. very glad the officer is ok. our family will continue to lift him in prayer.
  13. the economy is soooo bad that this week i paid off all remaining credit card debt, and bought three new laptops. wait, that doesn't match. hmmmm. one of these posts is not like the others.

  15. please continue to lift them up. although the family is ok, a visitor was taken in the ambulance.
  16. the call probably routed through cobb county. we live on the county line and anytime i've had to call it went straight to cobb. ambulance just left. finally. they were there for quite a while.
  17. ems on scene. not sure what exactly is going on. just really concerned. will wait til things calm down to venture up the street.
