i really don't get why someone would voluntarily put information out there which could and would be misconstrued and dissected. i've always said, it's bad enough that it happened. did you think it was gonna get better by posting it on pcom? yes, the situation is what it is. and we (the pcom audience) had no part of it. we were asked what we would have done in that situation. well, given the info we had, we answered the question. i still stand by my original reply. i cannot put myself in the OP's shoes. and it sucks that it happened.

how are your husbands 'parts' this morning? if he had been standing 20 feet from my child while all of the above took place and not stepped up or interfered..... i would have kicked him square in them.
