I really don't care if your kid acts up or not. I just wanted to find out if anyone ever asked if the kid that was acting up was being abducted. but hey, most folks will take any opportunity to brag on their perfect snowflakes.

I didn't start this thread because I was upset about a crying kid at walmart. Rather, I've heard people say that they would go to any length to protect a child.....and I wondered if that sentiment extended to uncomfortable situations like kids throwing fits in public. I would think that a person going to any length would ask if the kid was ok, instead of making ordinary assumptions. That's all.

Strange question, I know... But for folks who are hyper vigilant about checking the child molester registers and joining neighborhood watch.....have you ever stopped someone at a grocery store to ask their screaming child if they are being abducted? Or do you just assume, like I do, that its just an overstimulated or bad kid, or a crappy parent?

um. the guy shiits his pants. folks in GA get a crazy check for way more rational behaviour than that.

people have the right to spend their money wherever they please. and to not spend their money where they don't want to, for whatever reasons they please. there's not a rap artist on the planet that will ever make a dollar off of me. I don't begrudge a one of them from making their millions and 'making it rain' wherever they want. I doubt that everyone here would all agree that the sky is blue.... does a thief deserve to be wealthy? no. not if his wealth is determined by the value of his stolen goods. can a thief be considered successful? sure. if he doesn't get caught.

today, I was successful in not breaking anything, or hurting anyone.

think it's all crap. i think that if you can make a dollar honestly, then you deserve that dollar. and no one has the right to judge the fact that you have that dollar, or what you do with it.

I didn't read it that way at all. I read it as.....NJ doesn't measure success in dollars. he/she didn't mention anything about deserving anything.
