  1. I want to get in touch with the guy that sells tires next to Hickory Hut in Dallas. Does anyone know the business name or a phone number where I can get in touch with him? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
  2. I was recently given a book by a friend. Since it has been too cold recently to go outside, I took advantage of that time and read this book. The book is called Strays. Their website says that it is "Where Animals, Nature & Spirit connect". Anyone that is interested can check out an excerpt of it by clicking here. It is a great book and gave me a lot of insight. Anyone out there that is an avid reader should check it out.
  3. If you do, PLEASE call Hiram Police Department and tell them. If you send me a PM, I will give you at least one of the case numbers. We have lost so much already and then to have more stolen from us (even though they are just little things) just adds insult to injury. PLEASE help us.
  4. I lived on Davis Court which is Hiram PD jurisdiction. I called in a two-week zone patrol after the first break-in, then the 2nd officer said he would put our house on zone patrol for a month after the second break-in. The "perps" were still able to go into my house unnoticed and take what they wanted. That is why I think it was a neighbor. Merry Christmas to you too. I agree whole-heartedly about everything you said.
  5. Thanks Don. The sad thing is that I have several reasons to believe that this is someone that lives very close to where our house was in the subdivision. Sadly, there is not enough evidence for Hiram PD to go to this person's house and check it out. Our house is most definitely in Hiram PD's jurisdiction. I agree about thieves. They suck!
  6. Thanks! I hope they find them too and I really hope not to find anything else missing but only time will tell! Thanks! That was my reason for adding the items and the descriptions. I am trying to convert some videos that I took into still pics so that I can post pics of some of the items that are missing.
  7. Oh, I forgot to add another update: the guitar amp that was stolen from our house says "Peavey" across the front.
  8. My house is in Carrington Pointe at Lake Swan off Nebo Road. These subdivisions are not too far from each other. Someone on foot could easily make it from one subdivision to another in 15 minutes or less.
  9. We have discovered at least one more thing that was taken. It is a floor lamp that has three "arms" on it. The "arms" are bendable and have purplish colored "shaggy" lamp shades on them. Please if anyone knows who did this to us, let us know. We are not as concerned with the items that were taken as we are with finding who did this. If they get arrested, then maybe it would prevent someone else from being stolen from. We would love to get the items back. We are, in fact, the ones that worked and paid for them. The person(s) that stole our things deserves jail time, not to enjo
  10. We have already removed the rest of our things but I would love a sign like this. We do exercise our right to bear arms and most of our neighbors there knew that. We were never broken in to while we lived there. The break-ins were only after we stopped living there but still had things in the house.
  11. That is funny that you would say that about the neighbor because there is some suspicion regarding one of our neighbors. Thanks. I hope they find who did it too. People shouldn't be able to get away with this.
  12. Thank you so much for your sympathy. It IS horrible! I have cried and cried over it. It is such a hurtful thing to do to someone. You are so right about what you said. It sounds like you may have been there. If so, I also feel for you. I am sorry for anyone that has had to experience this. Thank you ladybug. I agree about NC-17. I hate that I had to move away because there are a lot of great people there.
  13. NC-17, I am SO touched by your offer but we finally got what was left out of our house on December 6. I was scared to post this before because I didn't want to make it public knowledge that no one was at our house. Thanks again. Your offer of help is amazingly kind!!
  14. My husband was laid off from his full time job in February of this year. Events have been such that in September we had to move from Georgia to another state. Because of limited income we have had to take several months moving. The house that we have lived in is located on Davis Court in Carrington Point subdivision. We have returned several times to pack & move more of our things and each time we have discovered that someone has broken into our house and stolen things. This has occurred at least three times between the beginning of October and December 6th. One time we noticed that our 2
  15. if by chance you have an iPhone....there's an app for that....hehe seriously though, my husband has it on his iPhone. It's called Emergency Radio.
  16. I had a green one that was a 97 and I LOVED that car. Have you had any transmission problems with it?
  17. It depends on what you are talking about donating. I donate all of my household stuff (baby items, clothes, furniture, electronics....basically anything that is not money) to The Thrift Store at the Paulding Plaza. I donate to them because they are so actively involved in supplying free items to needy people in Paulding County. I like knowing that the items I donated may have gone to help someone in need in my community. I also LOVE the fact that I can get a receipt and get a tax write-off. Besides that, they are a paulding.com commerce member and BirdMom is just a great person.
  18. SEE!!!! I told you I would land on my feet!
  19. Hehe.... you said "general assy"......hehe
  20. Did anyone hear the numbers of the officers that were responding to the original call?
  21. has anything else been said about this call? is law enforcement still there or any arrests made?
  22. A few notes (for anyone interested)... I was looking at this list and noticed a few things different then what I remember when I was employed there. For anyone not familiar, "traffic" means what the officers or dispatchers say on the radio. 10-1 means that the radio "traffic" was unable to be copied (understood). I have never heard it used to mean "change location". 10-3 is usually used with 10-33 to mean that any officer not involved with the current emergency situation should either hold their traffic or transmit on another channel. 10-13 is a weather report but
