  1. What about that little short guy that always had the bleach blonde hair (I always thought he looked like one of the Beach Boys) and was always tan and seemed to hang out exclusively with young girls? That dude always creeped me out. Wanna say his name was Bill or something.

I agree! He probably is a really nice guy but when I was in 10th grade I was waiting on my mother to bring something to me at school and he offered to take me home to get it when I told him what I was doing when he asked. He was very pushy and persuasive and very flirty. He really creeped me out. Editted to add: I forgot that after I said no to the ride home he asked me out. I was so creeped out.

  2. I didn't have time to read the above posted answers, but I did see a pet expert do what my friend did in this same situation. They bathed their cat so that his familar scents were not on him and also bathed the dog. Then when each pet was dried a washcloth was wiped on all over the cat's body and then rubbed on the dog and they did the same with the dog. That way the scent of the other becomes familiar. They did this for three days and then when the two were introduced to each other it was not a new familiar scent. This is supposed to reduce the "territorialness" of the first pet.

    Good luck!

  3. Mr. Darnell is also a pastor and I have had the privilege of hearing him preach many times. He is a precious man.

I would love to see him preach. He was so good to me as a freshman! He and another man(found out above that it was Mr. Chapman) were so good to me. I loved those men!

  4. SUGAR in your GRITS! That is just plain NASTY!! I am a born and raised Georgia girl. My husband doesn't really like grits; however if he does nibble on them he puts in the sugar and tries to be sweet and put it on mine as well. I'm like "Back away from the grits; put down the sugar spoon". He is from here too! We both have northern influences even my mother is from Rhode Island! However, NO SUGAR FOR ME! (in my grits anyway)

  6. Feel better Cheffy! I know how you feel. I think most of us do. Sometimes watching movies helps me and other times just crawling into my husband's lap and being held will help me! Look back and see what has helped you before. I'm here if you wanna talk!

  7. Last week while out shopping a lady asked my 2 younger daughters if they wanted some free Hanna Montana sunglasses .. They just gave her that deer in the headlight look  They have no clue who she is. And I intend to keep it that way. -_- Parents love to blame her for being a bad influence and not a proper role model. Who encourages their children to look up to a 15 year old born with a silver spoon in their mouths ?

Good point! Like another poster said I am glad that I was given boys. Not that we have not had our issues to teach them such as respecting girls even when alot of guys that young boys look up to do not respect girls in how they treat them. Thankfully my boys are now an adult and Junior in high school. Both have great heads about them! Of course they are not perfect and we are still teaching them by example!

  8. I have to say that my weight is accurate on my DL; however my height is inaccurate by mistake. I honestly thought I was measured at 5'4 1/2" so they put 5'4" on my DL. I just was measured at the OB/GYN and my height is really about 5' 3 and 1/2 inches. I just went and had my son measure me and I am just on line from 5'4" so I guess I didn't lie on my DL. See my husband is 6'6" I fit under his arm pit! We looked so funny in high school. I am a heel lover so unless completely dressed down I am always wearing heels. (Makes me feel taller...and other things!) Guess I have always felt taller than I really am.

  9. My teenage sons and my husband know that if anything happens to me I want a celebration of my life and a reminder of the fact that this life is not all there is but that we do leave a legacy and we do have something to look forward to after death.

My life has had so many twists and turns. My mom and dad have always said that I just roll with the punches and that I am always doing something productive with my life to help and to bless others. I hope within my heart that I have and will continue to inspire others to be all that they have been created to be and to use their own talents to the good of others. (I know I'm a sap) I also love life and hope that all others love life or can learn to love life despite all the negative we have to endure. My husband and I have loved our oldest in so many ways so that he could know that he could and can do ANYTHING in life that he feels lead or called to do. And he has taken us up on that and believes it with all his heart. Now if we can get the second son there I will have succeeded but I still want to reach out to other kids; hence the Bible College degree and seminary credits( and my life's work with no degree) and now the KSU Education degree in the works.

If your sensitive grab your tissue; sometimes I have to change the station when this comes on. Okay so I cry at everything and with anyone! I just love people and life!

  10. I know you asked me personally but my Dad wants "Duke of Earl" played at his funeral. He used to play it on our home jukebox when I was growing up. "Well I, walk through this world, nothing can stop the Duke of Earl...."

For my oldest son, God forbid I out live him, there was a song called "Wonder" by Natalie Merchant

The video is just odd but my son is an absolute miracle.

(thanks babe/my husband for showing me how to put up this song on the boards!)

  11. I have done some observation at McEachern High School recently for a college course. It was so cool to visit the campus again, but the school is sooooo different. It's kinda sad. If any of you remember the teacher Linda Brogdon, she has retired, but still subs there some. I saw a few familiar faces, but a very different school than I remember. My time at McEachern were some of the best in my life. Wonderful memories and great friends!!!

I remember Mrs. Brogdon, she had a daughter named Laura that I believe graduated with me in 1989. What made it seem so different? I know it would seem different to me and not have the same feeling because I am an adult now. I had to go back in 1991 to get my transcript and some other information and it seemed different and I figured that was why.

  12. WOW!! You guys have given me some recipes that seem so different from the typical chicken salad recipe I was looking for! I plan to make the typical one I am familiar with but I will also take these other types and try those too! Especially the Rotisserie Chicken one!

  13. Good morning. My family really loves chicken salad;however, I am just not quite sure how to make it homemade. I am looking for an easy yet very tasty chicken salad recipe! I prefer right now to use canned chicken because I want to make this after coming home from school at about 7:00 p.m. We like grapes in it sometimes too!

    Thanks so much for sharing.

  14. Alot of singers get a bit cold in one genre and switch to another. I think that is what Simpson is doing. I think she can sing but at times does it not so well. I have always felt that there was a time when a few girls including her were being pushed because pop needed some pretty faces so we could have some more "pop tarts" so they pushed and promoted her. She really isn't very good. Granted she sings better than me but I see her as having very little talent.

  15. Questions - in no particular order ('cause I don't remember)

    -- Ad valorem

    -- English

    -- Guns on college campuses

    -- Fair Tax

-- Having to pick a party b4 voting

    -- Spending Discloser

Thanks All for helping me to remember the questions, now, about the order!!!!

A little clarification on the party and voting. The question was asking if we would favor closed party general elections. This would make voting the same as what we just had which is a primary. Like others have said it would mean that we would have to pick a party to vote. Which would make me for one MAD!! I was raised to vote for the person in relation to the issues. Also I do not fall neatly into either dem or rep. UGH!! Sorry for the rant!

Posted this after you already had the actual questions! Baseball mom, would you mind to post what the voting totals were for these questions? Thanks!

  16. The spot we go to is a fairly young pond. Not anything really big in there yet. It's good for the kids to learn how to bait a hook, cast a line, untangle a line, pay attention to their bobber, set the hook without snatching the bait away.....we haven't progressed as far as to getting the kids to take their own fish off the hook yet. They catch those little brim like crazy, but always come running to me or Cleedus to get their fish off. Still, it's a great learning environment for them, and it's enjoyable for us.

There is at least one 2lb bass out there. We've caught him three times now. Twice in one day! Once on a cane pole. No camera that day. Good thing, cause I ended up getting slapped in the face with his tail!

Ah that is just too funny!!! Don't you just love fish! I know I do. I find them very interesting! You are so right about that area being a great place to learn. So true. I remember learning with my Dad, so much fun. Oh and one time I went fishing with my Grandpa and great Uncle. They took me out so far in the ocean that when I looked back I couldn't even see the beach. Scared me to death. Then they handed me a pole, mind you we were in one of those little aluminum boats, and I caught an eel!!! It was a snake in my eyes at this young age of say 9-10. That burnt me from ocean fishing!

  17. home made cane pole.

Look at that, you caught yourself some bait!

Just kidding NC-17!!! I have only fished with a "cane" pole once down in Lake City Fla. or Jacksonville. I was about 8 and my grandpa and great uncle took me. They would bait it, I would throw it in, and immediately I had a fish. I would pull it right in and start the process all over again. They couldn't believe how fast I was catching those fish!!! Most enjoyable time I have ever had fishing and I will NEVER forget it.

I love to fish, but I never get to go. My Daddy used to take me alot growing up. One time I threw my pole in the water, I mean way out. I let go of that "stupid" button and instead let go of the entire pole. Yeh, dumb I know. I folded my arms and began to cry. My dad wanted to know what was wrong and I pointed. He asked me "Well, now what are we gonna do." At that moment I stopped crying and told him that the pole had a cork so we could pull it up. We saved my pole! Daddy from that point on always said I was a fast thinker after a good cry about the situation or issue. I only cried about a minute before he noticed me pouting! I love you Daddy!!!! I still love to fish wif my daddy, but we just don't get to go with me in school and him working so hard at 66!
