Makes me so sad that people would treat someone like that. Where is they're heart? My son is going to have to face many challenges and I'm not worried about him doing that. He's very determined and will meet the challenges although it may take him just a little longer. What I am worried about is how people are going to treat him in the work force. I know my son though, he is very determined and he will be ok.

Thanks for apologizing, means a lot. As the mother of a child with a Learning disability, that's high up on the list of things that sometimes keep me up at night. I wasn't referring to you being mean to them directly, at least that wasn't my intent. I was in a hurry and upset and should have worded it different. What I meant, is that, people in general should show a little compassion and patience with these kids, learning disabled or not. Most really are trying.

Yes, Casey is great and so is the other kid with a learning disability. Please do not admire them for giving my son, who is slightly LD, a job. He went in and interviewed, and got the job on his own merit. The managers from local to corporate love my son. He worked hard and did a damn good job too. He may have been a little slower on the registers and would probably have ended up mastering them, had he stayed. The pressure from rude people became too much, it happened mainly at the registers or when someone got mad because he couldn't instantly point them in the direction of an item. He
