  1. Thanks ya'll! I know we've all been there, but it's true when people say you don't realize what you have til it's gone.
  2. It sure does and it makes you think about the ones you still have. I just got off the phone with my best friend, who knew Shultz as well and I told her how much she meant to me. We've been friends since 5th grade with no breaks and no down time, through kids, deaths and many, many happy times. I'm a lucky gal, sad right now, but lucky!
  3. That JCP brought together many friendships/marriages. Hubby and I met there and have been married 28 years. We have friends who met there and have been married for 27, 25, 24, 24 and 26 years. It's almost odd that so many of us still keep in touch and all have been married so long. Looking back, is really was a cool place to be.
  4. When I was 15 years old, I started working at JC Penney Outlet in Smyrna. There was a lady in the office who was 40-45 at the time and we became fast friends even with our age difference. For 35 years we have kept in touch, she has made quilts for each of my babies and to say that she adored Hubby would be an understatement. She and her husband of 56 years moved from Smyrna to Forsyth county about a year ago, we have visited them twice and kept in touch with email and regular mail. I got an email early this morning that she had passed away in her sleep on Thursday night, my heart is br
  5. Because you are a dumba$$ with more money than brains. In addition, if I ever have the money to buy a Ferrari, you can bet I wouldn't buy one for either of my kids, they can buy their own when they have the money to do so.
  6. Yes, it is that horrible. It's just like referring to a Mexican as a wet back, it's a derogatory name meant to be hurtful and demeaning.
  7. What is 'npr' and why do people always resort to throwing that around in conversations like this? I've been accused on P.com of believing or following 'npr', whatever it is, when people disagree with me on political or human rights issues.
  8. Are you kidding, 'a homo'? Seriously?!??! Can a person really be this ignorant? Oh.........never mind, yes they can.
  9. That is hitting the nail squarely on the head!! I have met and known many more hypocritical 'Christians' in my life than I can even count. Holy rolling on Sunday, condemning the world and then acting a fool the rest of the week....no thanks. I'll choose a decent, non-hypocrite gay person any day of the week.
  10. Holy cow!!! That was powerful, but I have to admit that I almost stopped the video before the end because of the tripe he was spouting. I guess patience is a virtue and I'm glad I listened to the entire thing. What a bold thing for a minister to do. I think I could go to his church!
  11. I'd much rather have a rifle than a tomato!
  12. I'd be happy to have it, that way I can at least see if I like it or not. How much? Thanks everyone for your suggestions and info!
  13. So, you hang around with criminals and corrupt cops? Just because the ones you know act bad doesn't mean they all do. No kiddin'.
  14. Well, then I'd probably love it too. Now I have to convince Hubby!
  15. So you like yours? Do they suck and steam at the same time? Between 2 dogs, 4 kids + neighbor kids and a backyard that won't grow grass, my white kitchen floor looks horrible all the time. I had hoped that a steam mop would do the trick a little quicker than regular mopping.
  16. I know that in my logical head, but my gadgety, wants to get it done faster head was curious if they worked or not. And I already have a mop AND Mr.Clean. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow! Thanks ya'll. So, they're not really magic like they seem on TV?
  17. I want a steam mop and I have NO IDEA about them, brands, features, etc. Any info is appreciated!!!!!!
  18. This is the best post in this entire topic. You're right, WE DON'T KNOW what went on and what else is the family going to say but there were no guns and no drugs. I haven't heard that from any news report yet and I still think that unless they showed up at the wrong house, a task force 'raid' isn't done on the fly or without planning or forethought. Contrary to what some believe, cops aren't always the bad guy and the bad guy may seem like an upstanding saint of a person and not be at all. One thing I do know, is that I'll bet not one single person on this board, including myself,
