GroovyChica
How sad. My prayers and thoughts go out to his wife and children. I worked with him for almost 5 years a long time ago. Everytime I see or hear Neil Diamond, it would remind me of Dr. Raines. Don't believe he ever missed one of his concerts. Rest in peace Henry
lulu
I just heard about this also. It's so sad when someone gets that low down to take their own life. Prayers are going up for his family.
LITTLEBLK98GT
I heard he had parkinson's disease. That is sad though. GOD BLESS his family.

REV
Oh my God!! I hate to hear that, I went to him when he was still in practice with Douglas Smith. He pulled all my baby teeth to get ready for braces. God rest his soul

PatriotBandMom
I am sad to hear about Dr. Raines. He pulled my mine and my husband's wisdom teeth back in the late 80's. He was also my mother-in-laws dentist and always took good care of her. My prayers go out to his family.
Jennie
Is this the same DR. Raines that is in the office with Dr. Bickford(Dentist)? That is so sad, we will keep him in our thought and prayers.

Man of Steel
I'm very sorry to hear of this tragedy. It may just be an urban myth but I've often heard that dentists have one of the highest suicide rates by profession.
County-line
Dr Raines was not only a good dentist to me and my wife; he was a man of utmost compassion to folks less fortunate. He just a short time ago helped a friend in need with emergency surgery due to massive gum and tooth infections. He performed numerous tooth extractions and gum surgery after hours, and than fitted my friend with dentures all at no cost. This is just one small act of compassion that Henry did to help out folks. He has done many more. I’m going to miss him and the funny talks we’ve had. My prayers go out to his family.

tuthfairy
for katied, it is Ga. law that the dentist has to check the patient after cleaning. It has to do with the fact the hygeintist cannot diagnois treatment. Make sure your checked by the dentist next time.
