According to Polk County Police Department reports, the man arrested is William Harings, 21, of 85 Floyd Mountain Circle, Rockmart. He remains in the Polk County Jail on assault charges. RustyMRockmart Posted February 2, 2010 Author Report Share Posted February 2, 2010 Second man arrested in Maple St. assault case Polk County police have arrested a second suspect allegedly involved in the January assault of a Rockmart man. Elijah Joseph Ingram, 17, of 215 Cochran Ridge Road, Dallas, allegedly joined William Harings, 21, of 85 Floyd Mountain Circle, Rockmart, in the Jan 15 assault of a Maple Street man. Ingram is charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, aggravated battery, pointing or aiming a gun at another, terroristic threats and acts, theft by taking, possession of a firearm or knife in the commission of a crime, criminal damage to property in the second degree, burglary and aggravated assault. He is currently in the Polk County Jail, as is Harings who was arrested shortly after the incident. Det. Matt McLendon said Ingram was charged and booked by Polk County police on Wednesday. He had been held for Polk County by Smyrna police after being arrested there Monday on a marijuana charge.
