joemturner
I did the interview on Monday - wasn't really happy with the set-up but we'll see tonight how it turned out. The point of the interview was to explore the use of perception, body language, and various subconscious signals to see if I could pick up indications of what people might be thinking of. We also bent a borrowed quarter on camera using the "power of the mind." Some thoughts I was able to hit directly, some I was just close. I don't think I had any that I totally missed. One experiment where I was close -- I asked two women to imagine they were holding a random object (chosen from a list of examples). I was trying to determine what they were holding. I thought one woman was imagining a knife, but she was thinking of a pen. I said that I was envisioning a sharp metal point and a wooden handle and I went with a knife, but she said that the image she was picturing in her mind was a pen with a wooden shaft and a sharp metal point. I don't know if that will make the video or not, but I thought that was a pretty close hit for not getting it right on. Anyway, I was seated and I'm not sure how this is going to look. I never saw a monitor and I don't like to perform sitting down. We'll see what happens!
AustinPlantation
I hope they gave you more time than on that morning show a few months back. You deserve it. joemturner
It's unlikely. I was there for over an hour with my interview and performances, but they were also going to interview a police officer or detective or someone after me. It's all a tie-in to that Mentalist show - what's fact, what's fiction, etc. I can't imagine the whole report would be more than 2 or 3 minutes tops... and that would have to include everything. I just hope the pieces that they chop up and put together work out and that I don't look as bad as I thought I did given the way things were physically arranged. Sigh. celeste
I'll check it out for sure! How cool! BTW, we had a great time last weekend at Paisano's and I think the men may have been even more in awe of your magic than the kids...if that's possible. DH was still talking about you last night. Although he had seen your show before he really enjoyed the close-up and is still shaking his head trying to figure out how in the world you did the cup and ball trick! I may now actually be able to get him to go out for dinner more often on a Sat. night!

It's not just possible - it's typical. Most of my performances are targeted more for adults than for kids.
