  1. What the heck could this possibly be?!?! A small earthquake, maybe? But wouldn't an earthquake make the news? I have been reading lots of posts on facebook, "Paulding County Uncensored" and apparently tons of people heard and felt this too! I sure hope it doesn't happen any more, whatever it is/was!
  2. I heard a super loud boom around 6 ish earlier tonight? It shook my house and scared the crap out of me. People on facebook have been commenting on this in the Paulding county yard sales group. People claim to have heard it in Powder Springs, Hiram, Dallas, Villa Rica, Acworth, Austell, and even Taylorsville! Does any one have any idea what it could have been? RIght after I heard it, I got on Pcom, but nobody said anything about it, so I thought that maybe it was just something that exploded close to where I live.
  3. LOL! Here too, Rocky's Mom.
  4. Just read this on fb....... "Police said robot going out on back porch. They found him laying just off the porch." Sorry lowrider, I must have been posting at the same time you did.
  5. I did read a comment where someone said the guy is Vet that suffers from PTSD and/or dementia, and that people had noticed and reported, that he had been having some issues from some time. Really, it sounds to me, like the whole situation is just so sad.
  6. So sorry to hear this! Thanks for posting this. I was hoping they had gotten the guy by now! I have been trying to follow this on facebook, but there are soooo many comments. And people, are very often getting way off topic. It ends up being pages of worthless reading. I get quicker and better facts right here on PCom.
  7. In addition to pets, vets, and livestock, people should really consider their elderly & sick neighbors, smaller children, and sleeping babies.
  8. Saying a prayer! I hope everyone gets out safe and is ok! I'll bet it is fireworks related. I really don't think it is safe for people to be shooting off these fireworks in neighborhoods and around houses, especially as dry as it has been, lately.
  9. Scientists Slowly Reintroducing Small Group Of Normal, Well-Adjusted Humans Into Societyhttp://www.theonion.com/article/scientists-slowly-reintroducing-small-group-normal-52632 LOL! My hope is that they will release some of these guys around here? Maybe there is still time for Georgia, however, according to the article there is not much chance for Florida. What do you guys think? Saw this on facebook and thought I would share on here.
  10. I still think that monorail is our best option. A safe, comfortable, relatively stress free ride. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jc-0uVcsDrE
  11. What is it that I have been told on here so many times? Cars don't kill people, people kill people, or something along those lines. How about this? Video: When is it OK for our cars to kill us? http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2016/06/video-when-it-ok-our-cars-kill-us?utm_source=sciencemagazine&utm_medium=facebook-text&utm_campaign=okcars-5240
  12. This is one reason why I support socialized medicine with a single payer system.
  13. Here is a very good article that I saw on facebook. Maybe this is one of the reasons that people can't find the mental health care they need? How Therapy Became A Hobby Of The Wealthy, Out Of Reach For Those In Need.http://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2016/06/30/481766112/how-therapy-became-a-hobby-of-the-wealthy-out-of-reach-for-those-in-need
  14. I have largely stayed out of the gun debate. Mainly, because, like with many other things, I know that guns can be used, both for good and/or bad, as has been demonstrated with the many shooting threads on here lately. Plus, this is a very "sensitive" subject. It is all in how the gun is used, I guess. Strength with sensitivity, seems to me, to be the best, and will accomplish the most good.
