I agree with this, all it takes is one ticked off student to ruin a teaching career, if she is innocent her career is already suffering because of this. if she is guilty then I hope she gets what she deserves, if the student were lying to just get even about something then I do believe charges should be brought against him.

 

I thought they said on the news that it was inside her home & not a student of hers.

Just don't eat in the parks....the food is horrible. I wouldn't eat in the parks again unless I got some free deal. My advice would be to leave the park & eat at one of the citywalk area resturants.

Ride the hulk as many times as possible!

If staying in a universal resort take advantage of not waiting in lines, free transportation to parks.

Ok, So I've offically lost my mind......

 

I'm hosting the after the Prom party thingy at my house.

 

I'm looking for helpful hints and advice to make things go a little smoother.

I'll be sending out the invites this week with all my contact info, address,

rules (no alcohol or smoking). I want to make sure the parents know where the kids are and

my expectations for behavior.

What did you do for food? Breakfast? or Just snacky stuff?

We did this last yr. but didn't send out invites... We just had the limo full of kids & a few extras over after the prom. They just hung out played pool, video games, ate, watched movies. Most of them stayed the night. We had the girls sleep up stairs, around 4am all were tired & ready to sleep. The guys "slept" in the basement & me & my husband stayed in the family room on the main floor, many of the parents were concerned about the boy, girl sleepover so we stayed up all night in the family room.

For breakfast we had pilsbury frozen biscuits, bacon, eggs, grits, etc...... The night of the prom we had soda, snacks such as chips,dip, cookies, etc....

I wouldn't dream of letting them drink, don't know if you have considered that. Would not want that lawsuit to deal with.

It was fun & I would do it again.

Yes, and it turned out to be all rumors. The students that went to school that day had a wonderful day because there were so many that used it for an excuse not to attend. the whole hispanic gang rumor when there were so few hispanics at the school.

[Jury duty - where do they get names?]

 

 

I was called to jury duty about a year ago & they said that they don't just get their names from registered voters any more. They said that they also get names from you utility bills, ie.. gas, water, power.

We used to go to Beef O'Brady's often. Food is just OK. When the raised the prices to above $7. for a sand. & some nasty chips or coleslaw we decided that we could get better food for the money elsewhere.

We had our credit card number stolen & we suspected a pizza chain near us. Twice in 3 yrs after ordering pizza from this particular place or credit card # has been stolen. This time they used my name, address, & phone #. They charged things & had them sent to my house. Weird things like diet pills, makeup, a vista printing t-shirt, etc. I also had 2 car dealerships in the Atlanta area call me to talk w/ me about cars I was trying to buy. Needless to say I was suprised due to the fact I haven't looked for a car in 3 yrs. I had to have my credit blocked & of course change credit cards & cancel the old one.

It seemed that the cars that were burning rubber in the streets just a few feet from people could have easily lost control and ran over someone. We got there way early & set up our chairs where the one of the police officers said was as close as we could come into the street & people just rudely came and stood in front of us.
