  1.

****He just scares me and and always has.****Speaking of Obama????

He scares me too and IF he wins the Presidency, we will be up the creek without a paddle!!

Don't be afraid,,, you'll get a brand new paddle.

Everyone who has a paddle up-the-creek will have to pay for new paddles for those who don't have paddles.

Your point is valid though,,, we'll all be up-the-creek,,, with or without paddles. ;)

  2. If every kid was like Brittney....there would be no problems with today's generation!!

Thanks New Hope,,, she was on her best behavior in your class. I think it's part of a passive-aggressive world domination plan. She "nices" everybody, "bats" her big brown eyes, and you can't be mad at her.

The Hiram HS years were good, the Young Harris years have been good too, but I'm pretty proud that she's going to UGA this Fall.

    MY KID'S A DAWG!!!!!

  3. "Thank You" to everyone who read and those who posted. It's always a blessing to see the pcom community extend grace to the special situations and activities.

Please know that many of you have meant a great deal to the Drummond Family. The personal contacts and the blogs are appreciated with smiles and sometimes even laughter.

Some of y'all are sick puppies,,, but appreciated sick puppies.

  4. Monday, May 19, 2008 would have been Tara Drummond's 26th birthday. Tara lost her life as a Kennesaw Police Officer when she was shot by her instructor in a training exercise on September 13, 2005. She lived at home with her parents, sister, brother, and had never been married. Her best friend was her Yellow Labrador, Daisy, pictured below.

Tara's love for animals, especially dogs, was evident. She routinely spent time with Daisy on the Silver Comet Trail at the Chamber of Commerce Trailhead and westward to Seaboard, which is now the site of Tara Drummond Park & Trailhead. To see the history of the Park and Tara's story, go to the following link.

On Monday morning, Tara's birthday, members of the Tara Drummond Park Organization and the PC Animal Shelter met at Tara's Park to present a $2500 check to the PC Animal Shelter in Tara's Memory. It broke her heart to have dogs at the shelter with no family to play with and love on.

Many of you visit or pass through Tara's Park. Thank You for making it one of the prmeier recreation spots in PC. Supporting the Animal Shelter and The PC Humane Society are another way we continue to remember Tara and grow her values. Please add your support to these excellent organizations by either donating financially or by donating your time. Do it in Tara's name if it helps.

Her memory continues to live on in all of us that knew her love for dogs, especially Daisy.

  5. I can hardly believe it has already been three years since losing my son. It seems like yesterday.... and how my heart still wishes it wasn't so.

Hug your kids today, tell them you love them..... I wish I could.

Our hearts are heavy with you. Certain dates and holidays are so difficult. I wear a certain shirt on the 13th of every month,,, just because it's my way. We're just past two years,,, so we're with you in support and spirit.

    -_-

  6. I was pushing it... not over (10 over)

They had about 10 folks pulled over....

It is a great way to make money now a days for the county.

Did you know the intercetion of hwy 41 and Windy hill raises over 1.6 million last year?

It is a great money maker.....

You sort of answered, but not quite. What speed, exactly, were you ticketed for?

CCPD and other municipality departments can't write for <10 over by directive and agreement. So how far over, exactly, were you?

Second verse,,, we all "push" it from time to time,,, and we all understand and agree that some roads are under-posted and it would seem proper that the posted speed limit should be higher,,, BUT (my personal opinion and personal viewpoint) we shouldn't whine, complain, and especially not talk bad about any PD because we've been "popped" for breaking the law and exceeding the very well visual and posted speed limit because we're unable to control our right foot.

    ;) :p ;)

  7. Great job today everybody. Thank you to all the sponsors and vendors. Everyone should make sure that they give their business to these folks.

There were so many good looking pups. They were all so well behaved and friendly.

Terry is my hero. I know there were numerous folks involved in putting it all together. They are great folks too. But when someone unselfishly give their time and takes the lead to put something together that is totally for the benefit of of others,,, like the doggies,,, it's truly special.

Thanks again Terry. It was an extremely successful event.

  8. Yes, apparently-clockwise in the summer and counterclockwise in the winter-unless you get your fans from the same place mine came from-then it's the opposite-unless the blades are alternating-then you put half the day one way-half the other. It's a very serious operation. It takes a fully trained fan operator to keep them all running properly..... :p

    ;)
