Beach Bum: I am very active in several different schools in Paulding and i haven't met ONE person in favor of this. Yes, there are people that do support. It is mostly chamber of commerce types that will not be affected by this airport plan and not the average, everyday Paulding resident. Once this begins, there is no putting the genie back in the jar. I do not want this, I do not support this.

It is Lake Point, not North Point. Why would they fly chartered planes into Paulding when the Cartersville airport is two miles from the development? The Rome aiport maybe closer, also.

I would love to see the details also. If you were rejected by two other communities, why is it such a peach of a deal for Paulding?

I will have to agree with Whitey. I do not want to become a hub for the Atlanta airport. Another thing that disturbs me is Senator Dugan's comment in the Paulding Neighbor about having MARTA rail service extended into Paulding....HELL NO. Let them come to your home county, Carroll, and leave us out of that.

From what I understand, the developers got the property very cheaply and that is the reason why the county wants to place facility there. Not a good place AT ALL. Land has gotten too expensive by the hospital.

Providence Presbyterian Youth will be having a yard sale and barbeque April 27. The yard sale is from 8:00 to 2:00. The BBQ is from 11:00 to 4:00. BBQ tickets are $8 a plate and includes BBQ Pork, slaw, baked beans, and bread. Drink is included if you dine in.

Have you truly checked into exactly who lobbys for Georgia PTA? They are all flaming liberals! And, the National PTA supports ALL charter schools and it includes external authorizers. They changed this stance in July since the majority of all states, 33 total, have external authorizers of charter schools and these charter schools were not going to join PTA due to their outdated stance. This is not anything new that Georgia is trying to do. This is incorrect. Charter schools can not deny anyone. They are public schools regarding of who manages them.

Which leads me to believe that the county believes that they were correct. David Austin is a straight up man. If he didn't want to settle this suit, I tend to believe there is a reason and not to have an ego stroked.

If this is what she wants to do, she is running for the wrong office - she needs to run for Congress.
