Hi guys....Yes, I moved to the DC area and love it here. Other than the three feet of snow we received in one day a few months ago! I do miss my GA friends though! A few peeps here are on my FB and I see them there, but thought I should drop by and try to catch up a bit!

I let my daughter start at 16, but that was when she asked. She has done the wax and the threading. She prefers the threading because there is less irritation to her skin. she gets it done about once a month and plucks in between if need be.

So I thought I should stop by and say Hello! Maybe hang around a bit.....that is...If anyone remembers me? lol

Nope. I was unemployed in GA for 8months. Came to Northern VA for a high school get together and ended up applying for jobs up here. Had a wonderful job within two weeks and moved within a month!

My HP has been doing this as well. Don't think it is affecting the power cost much, but it is so aggravatingly loud that I can't stay on it long and make the kids get off! lol I can hear it two rooms away! So do I need to take this in somewhere to get it looked at? How do I "blow out" the system... Let me know what I need to do and I'll try it! My fan is the one in the back... didn't know there was more than one...

Looks like a few of us have done this. I have worked in the financial field for over 15 years. Licensed, knowledgable - self managed! lol. However, when the market took its toll my firm laid off 1/3 of its workforce. I happened to be one of them. The economy in GA was such that I could get another job doing the same thing, but with a $30k cut in salary. That made it impossible for me to work, with raising three kids. I eventually had to make the very tough decision to relocate. I had a job within a week of applying in MD and am now relocated, making good money and able to provide

Hi everyone! lol I had been out of work since October in GA. Had job searched so hard, I didn't know what else to do. I went to school in No VA and so I applied for a few positions up here - had a job within a week and moved within two! lol It was a surprise to me and the kids! and unfortunately, I didn't really get to say goodbye to anyone, but growing up military... there are no goodbyes anyway... just see ya laters!

Just wanted to stop in and say hello to those of you who still remember me! lol Our move to Maryland was relatively uneventful and everyone is settling in fine. School doesn't start until Aug 31 so the kids get an extra month of summer! The new job is wonderful! Old friends are great! and life is pretty darn good right now. I hope all of you are doing well and I'll post some DC pics up soon!

Hang in there and good luck on your search. I have been out of work since October '08, raising 3 kids on unemployment and made to much on that for any other assistance. Thank God for savings... anyway... I had to move to Maryland to get a job! at least one that pays anything and has decent benefits! The commute may not be bad... or it may be God's way of telling you its not time yet....
