Exactly what I feel about my own driving skills. I would add to what you have said that I have never been involved in an accident that I caused (been involved in two, but I was sitting still in traffic both times). But, I've changed, and here's why. There are signs posted in the parking deck where I work that say "SPEED LIMIT 5 M.P.H." I feel that can safely negotiate the parking deck at anywhere between 15 and 20 MPH, and I used to do that all the time. I still feel that I can do it safely. A friend of mine disagrees. She was getting something out of the trunk of her car just arou

I scored 90%, but I disagree with one of their answers.

LOL! Nobody! I was pretending we were in Atl at Krispy Kreme. And, I was driving, eating a donut, and sending an email. It was a bad driving joke! ...or, a bad joke about driving!
-
Only if we can be led to Krispy Kreme before we start home! That ole Hot Light, it be a flashing! I'll drive. Gimme one of them donuts. Oh, and I've got to send a quick email now that we're on our way!

Ok, but you could have been led to much worse places than the Varsity!

I think I've heard that distracted driving is the #1 cause of accidents. And, it's not just cell phones. They're just our favorite distraction, it seems. It's also the "in dash entertainment center" (by the way, who the heck ever thought it would be a good idea to put a DVD screen in the front seat of a car????), GPS, laptop computer, reading material, makeup, snacks, electric razors, etc.... There are tons of things we do every day to keep ourselves from getting bored while hurtling down the asphalt at 60 - 90 MPH!

Very well said!

Schweet!!!! Can I drive your hubby's car? Or, can I at least unhitch the church trailer from mine?

You're my hero! I would love to try those things! Not because I want to PIT the guy who turned in front of me (no, really!), but just because it would be so much fun to do it in a controlled environment.

First I hear of that song you're standing on the side of the road, little girl! I've been driving to downtown Atl for about 20 years now. Yesterday I said how much I would rather drive on the streets of downtown than to drive in Rome. Atlanta's easy once you know where you're going.

Really! I've always wondered what it would be like a bus driver. I don't think I'd make it one day!

Sadi612, that was really weird when you were me! Thanks for teaching me a thing or two about paulding.com.

I have felt the same frustrations, too, but I'm trying to change my ways. I normally let people pull out in front of me. Sometimes even if it's my turn I let the other driver go first (if there is no one behind me). My new approach is to try to be just a little nicer just because I wish people would give me a break every now and then. But, I have to admit there were a couple of times lately when I stole someone else's turn. In my case it wasn't because I thought I was better. I just screwed up. Lost my train of thought (which is a very dangerous thing to do in a car). So, if I to

In response to a post about bad drivers I thought it might be interesting to see how we vew our own driving skills. Tell us what you think! I'll go first.

Oops! Sorry! I meant no offense. Apparently I'm the one who "missed" with my attempt at humor! -

Hey, Pubby, are those numbers staying fairly consistent? That does look a little high for individual processes on the CPU, but I'm not sure exactly what is causing it. If TBAR and Jabez, and Lesley signed off of this thing and slept for a little while I think I would try shutting down the board for a few minutes to see if those processes go away. Ad, if they go away see if they start back up after you restart the board. -
There is a correction on the information for donations that was sent in an earlier email. Following is the correct information: Children's Healthcare of Atlanta 1687 Tullie Circle Atlanta, GA 30329 Attn: D. Lee

The service was yesterday.

Yes, I will be at Hope tomorrow. I will find out and let you know. Very sad. It's hard to imagine what the family must be going through.

I'm not sure if the service happened today or not. I should be able to find out at church in the morning. I will post when I know.

I can't find the other post, but I have more information. The following is an email that was sent out to folks at Hope Church yesterday: It is with a very heavy heart that we inform you that 6 year old Luis Soto passed away last night. Luis had undergone two heart transplant surgeries a few years ago and since then had been thriving until very recently. He was an active part of the children's ministry here at Hope and a kindergarten student at McGarity Elementary. Luis certainly touched every life he came in contact with. Please be in prayer for the Soto family, the students and
