  10. ok.. now we are talkin' ... as far as the tax question... I would refer you to a professional but folks.. we get the idea... a lot of us have talents... a lot of us have goods... a lot of us have things we need.. .let's make it work... let me start.. I have an 80 gig IPOD first generation still has box but is used.. I truly need my front beds and one back bed weeded, my health will not allow me to do this. ..I also have an oak roll top desk... just sayin.. (is there a barter or trade thread pubby?)
  11. Ok, perhaps without giving specifics some examples could be given so folks could jump on this band wagon.. ...example... I truly need my flower beds weeded and my health will not permit me to do this..in return I have a xxxxx that needs a good home... just an example...
  12. You would think during these economic times this would resurface... however, maybe not.. I would like to see more of this...why don't we just all help each other with the gifts we are given... i.e. I can teach your kid piano you can babysit..I can do your gardening you can fix my truck... I have a desk.. you can pull some weeds.. it is tough times..I was just thinking more people may be interested in taking advantage of others talents/gifts in exchange for their goods or services...

  19. I agree totally... I wonder which is the lesser of the two evils... a closed credit card by debtor or issuer? It would seem like it would be worse if the issuer closed the card. From what I have read, the huge taboo about closing credit cards is it may affect your length of credit history. If you have longstanding credit with other creditors, I doubt it would cause too much damage. However, if your BOA goes back 10 years say, and you replaced it with new cards recently and close your only long term card.. I could see how that could be detrimental.
