  1. Jeff was a good Christian man. He will be missed.
  2. You picked the wrong Bill if you want the lesser of two evils. Bill Carruth is so slimy he slithers! How can you so easily forget what he did to Paulding County? Do you LIKE paying for his little excursions to Washington and him a private citizen? Do you LIKE seeing little old ladies bilked out of their farms by him and his land-grabbing cronies? If so, you deserve what you get if he is elected - but the rest of us don't! Why don't you go to these debates where you will hear the truth - because Truth has a way of getting out no matter how you twist it and sugar-coat it. Go and hear for yoursel
  3. So sorry we did not know about this earlier. He was one of a kind, was Hubert! I will miss him.
  4. I will see him again, for in death life begins... Save a place for me, Tony.
  5. So this is what they're calling it. Back in 1973 a large group called Concerned Citizens of Paulding County protested the location of a second Atlanta airport in Paulding County. We went to Atlanta, had rallies and parades, and ran candidates for commission positions that were against this airport. We stopped it, thanks to a lot of hard work by a lot of good people. But evil is patient, and now you have what we fought to stop. The beautiful forests and mountains of my home are lost forever. This is NOT progress, people. This is decimation. This is greed and hunger for power. May God help Pauld

For more information please e-mail pchs75reunion@yahoo.com.
  7. I'm sorry I didn't know about this sooner. I loved Mrs. Lawrence, and I know I'll see her again some day. She was a wonderful teacher and a Concerned Citizen who stood up for what she believed in. I wish we had more just like her. My prayers are with you all.
  8. Rest in Peace, my friend. This world will be a little less bright.
  9. Mrs. Crowe was my 8th grade homeroom teacher. She was one of my favorites. I always loved her laugh. My prayers are with the family.
  10. You are obviously a late-comer to PC. If you had been here for the long-term as a true native (pre 1970) then you would know that the people have fought an airport in the county since the 70's. We went to Atlanta, had news conferences, etc. We beat it then. But as evil does, it reared its ugly head again in the person of Jerry Shearin and his bunch. This CANNOT be good for the county and its especially bad for the rural area it is located it. People, we are losing a very valuable asset - our mountain land and streams. No one seems to care anymore.
  11. Royce Hutcheson of Hutcheson Tree Farm on Coalson Road passed away yesterday, April 14th. Arrangements to be announced later. Many of you probably bought Christmas trees from him in the past. I know I did.
  12. Good ol' Humpback Bridge! Mike McClung always said that it would be him driving across it some day when it fell in.
  13. As many of you knew him as a long-time Paulding County native, I wanted to put out the word that Donald Wayne Coalson has gone home to be with the Lord. He was a well-known song leader and singer with a quartet including Ollie Locklear and Elwanda and Houston Walker. He was also known for his crazy ties and sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
  14. We were very sad to hear of Bernie's passing. We bought his farm in Haralson Co almost 20 years ago when we moved out of Paulding County. He used to come by to see the place every summer. He had a love for the country and I know he had a love for that little farm. We will miss him, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Nathan & Susan Forrister
  15. I was so sorry to hear of the passing of my classmate. Rest in peace Wesley. Class of '75
