  1. When I worked as a police officer in Michigan, we had to do code enforcement such as this. Our department's policy was to enforce the codes when a complaint was made by a neighbor. If the codes were violated, we were to give the property owner a reasonable amount of time to comply with the code. For example, if they had a couple of junked cars on the property we would give them 7 days to have them removed. If in 7 days they were not removed, then a ticket was issued with a court appearance date established. Property owners in violation of such codes often took measures to comply with the

  5. Why didn't Nancy give the name of the company she was talking about? Probably because she was making it up. I guess those companies that increased their starting wages up $2 an hour is just considered "crumbs" to her. That $2 an hour raise gives those employees each an additional $4,160 annually. Now add onto that the tax cut they received and not having to pay a tax penalty for opting out of insurance if they choose. That's a hell of a lot better than the $40 a week tax cut they received under Obama, which she claimed a major victory for the American people.

  11. Actually, many of the jobs performed in China for American companies were once jobs done by Americans. Do you actually believe when those jobs come back to the US those companies will pay Americans the same wages they were paying Chinese?
  12. I read an article quite a few years ago stating he was the first choice to play Gilligan on "Gilligan's Island." He turned the role down after reading the pilot script stating it was the worst script for a show he ever read. He was then offered the starring role on "My Mother the Car," which lasted only one season. I thought he was great when on the TV series "Coach." The guy was definitely hilarious.
