I've been tempted to just lay it down. But I paid for that book so BY GOD I'm going to read it! I'm doing the same thing. Trying desperately to find a story in there somewhere. The writing really is awful.

Perhaps not valueless, however, if you can't make a living at it, mayhap you should consider a different direction or at the very least a way to barter it into a living. To your comment about great artist from "back in the day", I'd bet none of them were on any government assistance funded by hard working tax payers and from what you posted, Van Gogh at least bartered for meals. If she can fiqure out a way to barter medival history into a substanable living and not take government handouts from MINE and other tax payers money, then more power to her.

I haven't found the book 50 Shades that interesting either honestly. It's short on story and heavy on sex. Like trying to read a porn movie. It's erotic in the beginning, but after they've had sex 411 times by the time you're half into the book....it's starting to get old. Maybe it's just not my kind of book. I have a secret theory that maybe people who have REALLY enjoyed this book, were missing out on something in their life in the first place. JMHO. .

I actually have some garlic pills. (thanks Monkeytail!) Maybe I'll start taking them again to see if it helps keep them away from me. And sprinkling some diatomaceous earth around the ducks section 8 housing should help too. Flies like wet and poop. Both of which ducks produce.

We live on 80 acres, so I don't know that an exterminator is going to be an option. I'll try the vinegar and the benadryl for some relief and IDK, maybe some insect repellent when I go outside. That stuff just always stinks so bad!

LOL!! And you KNOW why I find this funny!! Seriously though........can they spray a yard? And do they have something pet friendly? (ie: my ducks and a rotten ass chocolate lab that will eat anything that doesn't eat her first.)
