  1. Okay, I have a blue topaz jewelry set for sale to help a family in need for Christmas. The father isn't paying any child support and she can't get her kids anything for Christmas. I have children myself and money is tight in my house so I don't have any extra money laying around. However, I do have this beautiful jewelry I bought from my mother who needed the money to go towards buying a cheap vehicle so she could go to school and get a GED (she's in college now and I'm so proud). I figured this jewerly may be able to help someone else - maybe that's God's purpose for it. This jewelry was
  2. I can't wait until mine (8, 7 and 2) are old enough to want mainly cash for Christmas -- it will make shopping so much easier. Right now the two oldest are in that "between" stage where they want toys like zhu zhu pets, bakugans et cetera and expensive electronics and gaming systems. And of course, my 2-year-old can't talk well enough to tell me what he wants lol.
  3. I used to have a problem with odorous house ants in the house I once rented. You can tell if they're odorous house ants by crushing one and smelling it (I know nasty); if it smells like rotten coconut, you've got odorous house ants. They were terrible! Like yours, they ate the bait but mine never went away until the pest control company came back for the 4th or 5th time and shot poison in the kitchen wall through an outlet. The next day these ants were trying to escape from a tiny hole at the corner of the other side of the wall (which was a bathroom). So I sprayed oven cleaner into the hole a
  4. I've got an HP Pavillion Entertainment PC dv6 and the keyboard is falling apart. I have three keys missing and I need the keyboard repaired. If I understand correctly, the entire keyboard will need to be replaced. In addition, the two mouse buttons below my touch pad broke a long time ago and I'd love to get those fixed as well. I would've shipped it to HP (as much as the thought scares me) while it was still under warranty but I need my laptop for work and I couldn't be without it that long or risk HP doing something stupid to it while in their possession. Can a computer repair person please
  5. If anyone does have additional problems, www.consumerist.com is a great place to go for advice on how to write an "executive e-mail 'carpet bomb'" as well as get your story heard by e-mailing it to consumerist's editors (if they choose to post it on their website). There's a lot of useful information to be found there. Just thought I'd share and no, I don't work at the consumerist - I promise
  6. I'm starting to think that's a great idea.
  7. Just some advice to Paulding.com newbies - I can see what you're doing when you're logged on, such as viewing my profile. So don't be shy; stop by and say hi
  8. Awww, now I'm kinda sad lol That's okay. I pray for the next tenant though. Thanks. Btw, UPS store owner, I've met you several times when you were at your store and I just want to let you know that I think your store is top notch! Even though I now live in Hiram off Nebo Road, I always come to your store because I know your employees are pleasant and extremely helpful. You have a smooth-running operation for sure! PS. My toddler thanks you for having toys out for children to play with (and so do I)
  9. Really? I have to ask how you know it's going to be a trash transfer station. We were renting the house on E Paulding Dr. that sits right next to that parcel of land. We just moved several months ago because of terrible landlord issues and if it really is going to be a trash transfer station, it will prove to me that karma really does exist (I know that makes me sound unpleasant but . . . ). So how do you know? And to anyone looking for houses to rent in Dallas, this one is listed on Craigslist right now. My advice - stay far away.
  10. To add, we just moved into Carrington Pointe in August of this year and one of the reasons we moved is to get away from crap like this. It's very disappointing that we once again, must be on guard in what we thought was a safe neighborhood. *sigh* Hopefully, someone will catch these little you-know-whats soon!
  11. I wonder if these were the same teenagers I saw last night. I live in Carrington Pointe too and I was working on my computer in the garage at around 11pm last night. All of sudden, I heard the neighbor's (from across the street) dogs barking in my front yard (sometimes they escape from their invisible fence). I got my broom and opened the garage to shoo them away and I saw three white teenage boys tormenting the dogs and shooting off at the mouth to one another. When they saw me, they said nothing to me but continued to walk up Davis Court (as if that is what they were doing all along) and le
  12. We use MetroPCS. I like the fact that we get unlimited minutes and texts for a low, flat, monthly price. As far as your computer goes, I have no idea -- sorry.
