  1. No, that is an income exemption waiver from the penalty for being uninsured.
  2. I believe the preferred nomenclature is "framework for a future agreement." I counted the word "IF" at least 127 times yesterday before I got bored.

  6. Women and gays are in grave danger in many Muslim countries. Hate for the gay community by holding the exact same position as most Democrats just a few short years ago ? ? ? I've openly supported gay marriage for well over 20 years and I have worked with Afghan charities... how bout you ? ? ?
  7. I've posted several links in this thread that explain the background of this type legislation. (and yes those links are from a couple of right wing sources, but they also contain a lot of basic information on the issue.)
  8. You really need to read the legal precedents on this issue... they are just shy of unanimous. The Obama Justice Department has used this very same RFRA defense in federal court.
  9. So RFRAs Don’t License Discrimination? No. RFRA is a shield, not a sword. It can be used to defend oneself against lawsuits or administrative action. 10. I have openly supported gay marriage for well over 20 years... I also support the constitutional right to free exercise of religion. These two positions are not mutually exclusive.
  11. This law does not allow for discrimination and does not address homosexuality at all. The federal statute has been successfully used to defend the religious practices of Native Americans and Sikhs. It has never been successfully used as an affirmative defense in any case involving gay civil rights. Time to do a bit more research...
  12. Try again... the precedent already exists : http://www.nationalreview.com/article/416160/indiana-protecting-discrimination-josh-blackman
  13. Oh the horror of being asked to entertain another point of view...
  14. If you run your cursor over the line the link is clearly visible.
