  1. Are you questioning the raw data or the methodology of this analysis ? ? ? (Both the Washington Post and the AP are reporting similar numbers.)
  2. Cold comfort for those folks watching their good insurance plans get canceled by the ACA: https://www.facebook.com/Healthcare.gov http://mycancellation.com/ http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304527504579171710423780446 http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_HEALTH_OVERHAUL_YOURE_CANCELED?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2013-11-02-09-44-38 http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/for-consumers-whose-health-premiums-will-go-up-under-new-law-sticker-shock-leads-to-anger/2013/11/03/d858dd28-44a9-11e3-b6f8-3782ff6cb769
  3. There's going to be a rude awakening next October, when all those middle class folks see the new "care."
  4. No, I am trying to tell you that an estimated 45% of the insurance PLANS offered by large employers will become illegal next year. I believe that under this law small business is defined as less than 50 employees. 66% of those PLANS will cease to exist next year. Those plans will be canceled and the employee will, in some cases, be offered the option of buying a new much more expensive plan. 51% of EMPLOYER BASED PLANS will be canceled under the ACA, according to the Obama administration's own estimates. Some will purchase the new "de facto tax on the middle" class plans.
  5. “The Departments’ mid-range estimate is that 66 percent of small employer plans and 45 percent of large employer plans will relinquish their grandfather status by the end of 2013,” wrote the administration on page 34,552 of the Register. According to the Congressional Budget Office, 156 million Americans — more than half the population — was covered by employer-sponsored insurance in 2013. Another 25 million people, according to the CBO, have “nongroup and other” forms of insurance; that is to say, they participate in the market for individually - purchased insurance.
  6. Once again, I have repeatedly provided factual evidence and links that confirm my position. I never claimed that 93 million would be uninsured or that insurance companies would close up shop. Both your false assertion and your question are simple strawman fallacies.
  7. I have repeatedly provided you with links and information to confirm these numbers, but you simply refuse to acknowledge the clear facts right there in black and white. An estimated 93 million Americans will see their current insurance policies canceled.
  8. I am basing my position on NUMBERS provided by the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION and the CBO.
  9. “The Departments’ mid-range estimate is that 66 percent of small employer plans and 45 percent of large employer plans will relinquish their grandfather status by the end of 2013,” wrote the administration on page 34,552 of the Register. 11. According to the Obama administration's own estimates, as noted in the FEDERAL REGISTER, up to 93 MILLION AMERICANS are slated to see their current insurance policies canceled: http://www.forbes.com/sites/theapothecary/2013/10/31/obama-officials-in-2010-93-million-americans-will-be-unable-to-keep-their-health-plans-under-obamacare/
  12. You can thank the Democrats for that one: Friday's reduction, however, is the result of Democratic legislation that hastened the expiration of a 13.6 percent benefits boost provided by the 2009 stimulus bill. In 2010, congressional Democrats used the food stamp money to pay for other spending priorities. Though this week Democrats have offered token legislation to prevent the cut, they have broken the promises they made in 2010 to replace the money before the cut could take effect. At $5 billion, it's an annual reduction 25 percent larger than what has been sought by Republicans. E
  13. Another uncomfortable fact: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/10/31/senate-democrats-supported-rule-that-lead-to-insurance-cancellations/
  14. Are you going to address the uncomfortable fact that 93 million Americans are slated to see their current insurance policies canceled because of Obamacare ? ? ?
  15. "Section 1251 of the Affordable Care Act contains what’s called a “grandfather” provision that, in theory, allows people to keep their existing plans if they like them. But subsequent regulations from the Obama administration interpreted that provision so narrowly as to prevent most plans from gaining this protection."
  16. “The Departments’ mid-range estimate is that 66 percent of small employer plans and 45 percent of large employer plans will relinquish their grandfather status by the end of 2013,” wrote the administration on page 34,552 of the Register. All in all, more than half of employer-sponsored plans will lose their “grandfather status” and become illegal. According to the Congressional Budget Office, 156 million Americans—more than half the population—was covered by employer-sponsored insurance in 2013."
  17. Reading is fundamental: “The Departments’ mid-range estimate is that 66 percent of small employer plans and 45 percent of large employer plans will relinquish their grandfather status by the end of 2013,” wrote the administration on page 34,552 of the Register. All in all, more than half of employer-sponsored plans will lose their “grandfather status” and become illegal. 18. So much for "reasonable conversation..." http://paulding.com/forum/index.php/topic/305392-how-obama-overlooked-10-million-americans-who-could-lose/page__p__3853423__fromsearch__1?do=findComment&comment=3853423
  19. Think you are safe because you have an employer based plan ? ? ? Think again and just wait until next year: Mid-range estimate: 51% of employer-sponsored plans will get canceled http://www.forbes.com/sites/theapothecary/2013/10/31/obama-officials-in-2010-93-million-americans-will-be-unable-to-keep-their-health-plans-under-obamacare/
  20. Overlooked ? ? ? In other words Barry made sure most plans would be cancelled. This was deliberate and by design. The Obama administration wrote these very narrow rules on purpose.
  21. Shame on you for blaming the victim and her family. http://stoprelationshipabuse.org/educated/avoiding-victim-blaming/
