Both of these suggestions are great for adults and children: - Eliminate pasteurized milk. (An allergy to pasteurized milk is the most common start to respiratory tract infections.) - Take a teaspoon of cod liver oil for a dose of whole vitamins A and D that boost the immune system. (Mix into food if needed.) These are most beneficial to prevent colds and coughs, but implementing them at the beginning of a cold or cough can help reduce the severity and length.
