We have about 20-30 16inch squares of Bermuda sod left over from a job we finished today. These would be great for patching places in your yard if you already have Bermuda sod. The first person to pm us with a phone number and address gets it. It's free and we'll deliver it for free!

You might have heard that grass clippings are good for your lawn. You may have heard that they shade the grass too much. Or, you may have heard that clippings ruin your lawn mower. Well, all three are actually true. Grass clippings are about 90% water. And, when they are less than 1 inch long, they dry up to almost nothing in about 24 hours. Leaving clippings that are less than 1 inch long can add nitrogen (an important nutrient)to your soil. So, if the clippings are less than 1 inch, don't bag. If the clippings are longer than 1 inch, they can cause problems. First, they can

No, it won't blow up. We really are trying to help p.commers, not inflict death by water hose. And, it works great on sod. Of course, too much of a good thing isn't a good thing. It would only need to be done once in the spring and once around the end of June or the beginning of July. Please let us know how it works for you!

Here's an inexpensive way to get your lawn off to a great start this Spring: Fill a hose-end sprayer half full of ammonia and half full of beer and water your lawn. This mixture is good for 2,500 square feet of your yard. So, depending on how big your lawn is, this will probably cover most of your front or back yard. The ammonia gives the grass nitrogen which makes it greener. The yeast in the beer helps decompose the thatch (the build-up of dead grass and roots that prevents new growth).

Yes, we can certainly test the garden soil for you. All plants require the proper amount of ph.(5.5-7.5) It's important your soil is properly balanced (especially for food) for good growth no matter the plant. If you would like to pm your phone number and/or address, I can schedule a time to come out and get a sample for testing. Looking forward to working with you! Tim

If you are having problems keeping your lawn healthy, you may want to get your soil tested. This is a service we offer, but is also available through some nurseries and universities. Once you get your soil tested, the results will show you exactly the type and amount of nutrients your soil needs. Many people spend a lot of money unnecessarily on re-seeding/re-sodding and treating their lawn. Hope this saves you some headache and money!

anyone else wanna play? -
We're putting together an adult softball team to start playing at the beginning of March. We would like to make it a co-ed team, depending on how many women are interested. We'll be playing at Mt. Tabor Park on Tuesday and Wednesdays. If you're interested, please let me know by February 15th. I believe the cost will be approximately $30 per person. Please pm me if you want to play with us! Thanks, Tim
