Too bad you didn't have your cell phone where you could take a picture of them coming down your driveway, before you scared them off. I would keep an eye out this evening and all weekend.
-
I don't know which sounds better that it's full-time or that it's in Dallas.
-
Great news. Dh told me to ask where you will be working. If you would rather not say, I understand.
-
You should. There's talk on another one of these rooms about NewsJunky or LTD. Not sure who P-Com is nominating yet, tho.
It just seems like we all weren't paying attention and now we're stuck with two less than desirable candidates and there's nothing we can do about it. Let's turn the clock back a few months. I know there have to be more capable people in Georgia. There are plenty of people on pcom with good ideas and plenty of intelligence that seem to really care.

Wouldn't he serve himself and his supporters well by explaining it at the beginning of his campaign, telling the whole story, and then put it behind him and go full speed ahead with his campaign.

Do we have the option of writing in a name for governor in November??
-
That sounds like a good thing you are doing!

From the Rumors I hear, The lady had been sick for awhile. The minor boy told a friend in the neighborhood that it was going to be a good day because his mom got up and help him get ready for the first day of school, When he got home from school is when he found her. :heartbreaking:
That is so sad, poor kid.

That's horrible news.

We thought long and hard about our cupcake of the month for August...and the big thing for August is the kids and teachers going BACK TO SCHOOL, so to celebrate we are having a
Back To School Cupcake
A PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY CUPCAKE - moist homemade peanut butter cupcake, filled with grape jam and topped with a delicious peanut butter icing. Then decorated with a shiny red apple! If you don't like jelly with your peanut butter, just ask, we'll leave it out of fill it with chocolate. If you like peanut butter, you are gonna LOVE these. I was told by a customer we made a cake for that it is the best cake she ever had! We should have them baked and ready tomorrow afternoon!
This reminds me of a show I saw on Food Network, I think it's called the Best Thing I Ever Ate, and someone showed square donuts dipped in a peanut butter glaze and then a raspberry filling was piped inside. They looked so good.

The heat probably kept everyone away.

Preston also practices law, but can't speak to any management abilities/experience.
I'm voting for Handel, but not because of Palin. (I don't dislike her; I just make my own decisions.) I just can't bear the thought of voting for Deal - the ultimate career politician. Also, IMHO, the Gingrich endorsement is a negative. Gingrich also endorsed that nutcase liberal in NY-23 who dropped out and endorsed the even nuttier liberal Democrat (after the RNC had spent nearly $1M on her campaign).
I gotta say - I'm finding myself more and more displeased with the candidates from which we have to choose in so many of these races!!! From DA to governor to President...DANG!!! I am sick and tired of voting for the lesser of however many evils. I want somebody with some genuineness and backbone to run and do well!
You know that there have to be some intelligent people with good ideas and common sense in this state somewhere that could be running for office. They need to come out of hiding.
I was just wondering about the comment about Roy Barnes losing to Sonny Perdue because of his education reform ideas. Does anyone remember what those ideas were? Maybe we wouldn't be in the situation we are with education if he had been allowed to put his ideas in place.

This is very sad to hear about another young person losing their life. Prayers for the family and friends.

What's this world coming to? Cops as heroes? Who knew?

I looked at all the schools web sites and the only ones listing open house were P B Ritch 2-6:00 on August 5 and North Paulding High and Hiram High, 5-7:00 on August 5. I didn't see anything listed on any of the middle schools.
-
I thought I read somewhere on pcom that it was mainly for adults, but after reading some of the posts that I've seen lately, I'm beginning to wonder.
-
Well, I guess I didn't really waste two hours since I was just sitting here on the couch anyway, but I watched both the democrats and the republicans. I don't really feel any different about the candidates than I did before though.
-
none should be happy about this. This a-hole has 2 small children who will be affected greatly by this.
I was thinking the same thing about Damon Evans' children also. Can you imagine everyone you know talking about what your dad did and it being all over the news on tv that your dad had the woman's red underwear in his lap or hands or whatever. The kids always get caught in the middle.
-
RIP. Condolences to the family.
-
Prayers for everyone.
-
What?? That makes no sense, but then not many of them do make sense.
-
Very sorry for your loss.
